They look OK for the you spent. Is it a big job getting
the gauges out. I have had mine pulled out off the bike but
have not tried to open it up. I was thinking of getting some
indiglo's off Pete but wasn't sure about opening up the unit
Looks nice. So what's the problem with then at night
Regards Richard and Nina....
Hey Richard, I posted a pic for you in the miscellaneous area too...
Hi Richard. I had to take the gauges out and re-adjust the neddles as I had set them back in a little off from what they were, so I took pics for you or others wanting to do this mod...
First, take inner fairings and screen off, then undo 2 bolts (red arrow):
Second, "unclip" (is that the word for it) the two top bits and unplug the electrical connector thingie (it's tricky and needs some strength):
Blue arrow is where (hopefully by now) you have unplugged the electrical connector thingie, and then remove the 7 screws:
Ta da:
Carefully and slowly lever off the needle, then remove two small screws and place new gauge over old gauge:
You need the old gauge faces because of the two little bits that pop up and keep the needle from spinning right round... (blue arrows)
Good luck.
Very informative Pan well done!
You will have no problem installing that new turbo system....oopps
Leonard.

excellent show and tell Pan but you made 1 mistake you should have knocked that lil pin that stops that speedo needle from going all the way around then buy yaself a helmet cam and take a video of it going all the way back to 100 hehe
For those that have done the other guages I take it that there is also wiring to be done on those Regards Bill

Well done Pan.. good post mate
Great job PAN (BBQ).
You've certainly made our bikes look different over the past year.
I remember when they looked almost identical at the Half Way house last December.

Awesome, thanks Pan... I shall do mine this week. No one could tell me hoe to get the cluster out so my new gauges have been sittin under my pool table for the last 2 months.

I think Pete's pit stop may get an over order of Indiglo's
That was well put together Pan. NICE JOB...

Indeed a great explanation Pan. Just another hint here as have fitted twenty or so sets of these When levering of needles use two levers and pry STRAIGHT up so as to create no sideways bending force on needle shafts. Also Illumiglo or Indiglo gauge faces can be fitted without removing needles at all, but takes more care with face placement as they are sticky little buggers. Also when reassembling place needle halway on and before pushing fully home plug in dash assembly and let motor drives for gauges reset and make sure they come back to the "park" position correctly before completing re assembly.
