I,m told peoples dyno printouts are like pin numbers.I know the results i got were sae corrected and not std which would put it up to 175hp.If anyone has comparable dyno sheets for full system and airbox mod on a dynojet dyno running on 98 octane fuel, knowing that there are good and bad bikes everyone could see the range and get a general idea on what to expect.I,ve seen dads bike read 188hp on s&r pros dyno dynamics dyno, down to 165hp on frasers homebush dynojet(notoriously low reading dyno) to 186hp on fuchs dyno at flywheels.I,ve heard of a gently ridden busa read 140hp on s&r pros dyno and 167hp for a 2005 brand new busa also at s&r.Col at 10/10ths dynoed dads zzr100 at 147hp when it made 128hp on a dynojet at Doinbikes dynojet.I do take all the fuelling advise on board and hopefully will make informed decisions .Interestingly the zx14 in 2 wheels made 2 hp less and about 4ft/lbs more at peak on the same dyno.I wonder how they will do with the same mods?P.S go blackzook i can smell a 9 in the air.Maybe a leather jacket instead of a parachute for a jacket will do the trick. Read my post faster I haven,t dismissed anyones advice, you guys tune them i don,t.Just keep the dyno results coming for comparable set ups on comparable dynos.160-165hp stock mapped is believeable, dads made 161hp bone stock untouched on s&r,s dyno dynamics dyno.Like i,ve said my bike was babied from new and i believe does read a little lower than expected.I know abusa made 174hp with a brock hindle system and dave casa made 172hp with a full system. Both these guys have done 10 flat or less at 140mph+.And of course leonard does 9.7 at 140+ with 155hp admittedly with optimised gearing and lots of talent. So taking everyones advise on board I,ll still end up with a quick bike.I did 140mph first run out with a 2.6 second 60ft time.I,ve never acheived 140 before on my bike, did easy 142,s on first time ever on a busa on dads bike though.I,m a little bemused why peoples dyno results are such a secret.I don,t lose sleep a night and i,ve been open and transparent about not having the highest numbers out there.I am happy with my exhaust though, after seeing the factory x pipe i,m surprised the busa makes the power it does.I look forward to seeing how bear goes. You keep getting lost in the HP figures ?????????
Hp isn't the issue Spaman .................the bike is set to f*&^ing LEAN .................. so why would you run it with a setting that can blow your motor .......... it's beyond me.
Full power setting is 12.8:1 thats a fact and you can take it to the bank
Footnote .............you keep talking Drags, Hp quarter mile times etc ? I have a turbo Busa thats pumping 290Hp and I can guarantee you Leonard would kick my ass on a stocker ....... simply because he can ride a drag bike shit loads better than me. I've never been on a drag strip in thirty years riding. Point is bikes power and performance means jack at the start line if you don't have the rider to handle it. The man makes the moment. It's like Doohan would beat you around the island on an RGV250 ............... !
The end

y don't you take faster1 advice . the guy knows more about busa's then you or i will ever know . 12.8 full power settings is not an opinion its a fact . opinions are like arseholes ,evertbodys got 1. but a fact is a fact
I am taking you,re advise faster. In case you,ve forgotten I don,t have a licence,so the bikes parked and i probably do a drag meet every 6 weeks or more so there,s plenty of time to correct the situation so chill mate,it,ll be sorted.I,ve been relating back to the drags as mph not et does give some indication of hp thats comparable provided you know the bike plus rider weight. From what i have seen at wsid any bike at 140mph+ is doing ok thats why i was stirring up andy with his 142+ passes. So RELAX Faster Im neither deaf or arrogant or mick doohan i just want to go faster without blowing it up thats why i use M..........C.

All this is great info guys, but one thing I note is nobody seems to run with the pigyback ignition module. Is that because at least one thing on the Busa is perfect, the ignition mapping?
Interested in responses.
I'm certainly not chasing max HP, although it will be interesting to see what happens. If you want to really get a feel for the overall performance, measure the area under the HP graph. That shows what the real overall gain is. Not easy to do unless you have the curve electronically but increasing the area is the best measure.
And for drag racing, even though I'm a novice, I would have thought the low end of a Busa is where it's at. That first 60' time, to me at least, is where the rider has maybe 60% of the effect and the torque in the mid range the remaining 40%?
Have I started another debate here?
Wooohooo
Relaxed and chilled here Spaman ...............after all I'm not stressed up as my Busa's haven't suffered from high speed instability, shit brakes, shagged suspension, tyres, fork springs etc relating in understeer / oversteer, an ECU that must have a problem as it needs a power commander and many other numerous ailments that your Busa has appeared to suffer.
Shit if your Busa was a horse you would shoot it wouldn't ya ?

so is this a case of overbling? Cheers,

I am looking into it Bear. The dynojet operators have new software to measure realtime ignition changes versus torque. These are currently being used on racebikes so no feedback is freely available yet. They are not cheap and the gains on a 170hp bike wouldn,t be great unless you,re using different fuel I,m told.I,m still interested though since the busa isn,t ignition optimised for 98 octane fuel. Bikes are pretty good these days DJ so the point of diminishing returns is reached fairly quickly.Suspension brakes and a full system would be a sensible limit for bang for your buck, but where not all sensible.
Here we are Gixxer on section 1. Cheers,

So...after all these different dyno readings about exhausts, which exhaust makes more torque and hp on a busa?
dad sells the ti force(full titanium) for very good price.they look great, sound good and do the numbers at the drags.3 and soon 4 of the 4 quickest stock bore busas all run them. Not to say an akrapovic are worse, just ALOT dearer.
Just a bit of info on the tiforce systems. The sumo system was removed and standard ti force pipework was fitted still with the 60mm can(race can). After mapping it picked up around 4 hp from 3500-6500 and only lost approx 1hp thru the topend.Sumo system felt like a 750 down low under 6000 rpm with stock bore and compression with yosh cams. Now its a nicer thing to ride.Still would prefer if the cams were advanced a little though.
