The drumstick story
#1
Thought I would share this with you as my 9yo daughter looks at me gobsmacked when I tell her...

There I was at the Rod Stewart concert about 7 years ago...
End of the show, last song and the place is going mad.
The drummer stands up and looks into the crowd and lifts a drumstick indicating he is about to throw it...
I stand up along with 10,000 others.
I catch his eye and he see's me...
He points to me as if to say this is yours and throws the drumstick all the way to me probably 50 rows back.
I see it coming towards me in sort of slow motion...
I jump up along with other hands in the crowd and grab the drumstick!
I have got the bloody thing!
He said it was for me and it WAS...
I look up towards him and he has a huge grin on his face and gestures YES see!!! you got it!!!

A magic moment that I will never forget.
I had the drumstick hidden away and with our renovations bumped into it and decided to put it on my wall with the new room layout...
You had to be there...

Cheers,
Pete
