well officially joined thousands of others in the life long joy that is home ownership/ mortage repayments.

got a 2 bedroom unit for $195000, two streets back from the water at Redcliffe in qld, second floor unit, slug, recently renovated entire block of units. Nothing to spend, modern. Just glad to get into the market... few years ago never thought i'd own my own place...

Unfortunately the bank owns it really, despite what they tell us. I've just gone further back into the bank's pocket, remortgaging to get the ex-harpie to walk...she's still here, so I'm a mug.

Amazing how well we learn to budget once those mortgage payments start happening... Ride your Busa now, while you can...

Congrats Rob, it really does feel great to take over the keys to a property.
It feels a darn sight better when that last mortgage payment is made though.
Remember, every dollar you put on the house now is a month or two earlier you own it in the long run.

(Don't cut out the bike riding though)....

yeah thanks guys. bugso- an extra 7dollars a week extra= $25000 less interest and own it 3 years earlier. Not bad for 7bucks.
M8tee, yeah i've always been keen for breaky creek run but i work most thursday nights. still working on the sunny coast for another month but i get a transfer to bracken ridge in july. So hell yeah i'm keen after that.

My first mortgage was $13000 in 72

Thought I was way in over my head

Labor got in, wages & inflation went through the roof & soon my $13K looked like chicken shit, paid it off in half the time

Good Stuff rob. I was gonna buy a house then i found this new car that i had to have so there went my $50000 deposit for the house then i sold it to buy a house but bought the busa instead i guess i have house commitment issuesor im just irresponsible
