i guess I am up to the next stage of information about my cancer so time to share....
on Friday I was injected with a radioactive isotope for my PET scan. Spent the whole weekend waiting for my new super power but I guess having wings like a shield of steel is all I got. Wished they were more carbon fibre with kevlar so I could loose weight lol.
had my pre-op today and al things are a go....apparently I am a reasonable middle aged male specimen according to all the beeping and needles. i have been told that it still seems that the primary is the tonsil and the cancer has moved to the neighbouring lymph glad. They see 2 distinct effected nodes but are removing every node on the RHS of my neck as precaution. When we move out of Tassie I should be able to show proof I am an ex Tassie from the scar that runs down from below my ear then across the base of my next ( removal of second head lol)
today Sandy and I had our first headbut with her being stressed over having everything ready for hospital and growling at me, and me not accepting being growled at cause I am stressed over going to hospital lol. We will survive anything As long as I don't try to chase the nurses lol
so the schedule is a MRI tomorrow then admitted for surgery on Wednesday. Then you all have to put up with me after I get off the pain meds lol

Started chemo 2 weeks ago and if you every want to experience a 15 yo zit filled face again I highly recommend it. f***!!~!!!!!! I forgot how painfull zits can be, faceplanting a wall might be close to the same right now LOL

Radiation treament also started last week and so far it looks like I got a bit of sunburn on my face which isn;t to bad IF MY FACE WASN'T A PRISM OF PAIN DUE TO CHEMO ZITS!!!

But on the good side I got on my bike the other weekend and was so relieved that any shoulder impairment hasn't interferred with my riding. Can still launch the busa, stop on a dime and hit the twisties without issue. I do have to start exercising more though as a few weeks bed ridden has my muscles achin like a bitch after a spirited ride LOL

I also raced off to mid Victoria and bought the new Batty Mobil, a 1998 Transit van. This will be my project to have it ready for my Tassie Tour in Feb next year. The 4x4 was great but towing a heavy duty trailer about and tarping everything each time it looked like rain was the pits. The van will be a lot better as well as having a pull out tool wall and maybe even a lookout platform on top LOL should be able to get some great pics from up there.

I keep the old saying "what ever doesn;t kill you makes you stronger" in my head as I focus on 6 weeks form now, thats when my treatments end (fingers crossed). I am more in survival mode and back at work just thinking of all the fun thats gunna happen latter this year and every year after that.

Cheers

Well today I had my third weekly chemo and finished my 1st week of radiation therapy (RT).

Happy to say I only gotr 4 more chemo's to go WOOO HOOO The side effects are starting to have an impact but nothing a chemist shop full of drugs and oinments can't try to help LOL Really looking forward to the end and my poor poisoned body starting recovery.

RT so far has minimal effect other thn what looks like a sunburn. I a sure it's adding to the effect of chemo as it's all on my face and skin deep LOL Still got 6 weeks of that left though so "grin and bare" is the mantra. .

Think of tight knit fish net material in white....

now make that into a hard cover that wraps over my entire head all the way to the tops of the shoulders. Thats what they put on me each time I haver RT so that I am in exactly the saem position for each blast.

I am going to see if I can get to keep the mask LOL
