Hi Ando,
I have GiPro on my 00 and previous 99, have used for some time now. On these it really doesn't feel like it makes any noticeable difference. Maybe a little smoother in 1-2 gears but hard to notice really. Saying that 06 may be different. In terms of issues I've never had any with the unit operating, only issue I've had is draining battery when not ridden enough because I hook up straight to battery rather then switchable source. Press the button, you can always turn it back off anyway

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. As you said, it can always be turned off again. Cheers

One of the main functions of aTRE is to eliminate the built in timing retard at low revs in the first four gears. That retard is there to make the bike less brutal ib wet weather. You should notice the extra oomph in the first four gears as well as the delimited 6th gear.
