Hi Thommo.
I think you'll find that any reference to 190+ hp figures you've seen in literature would be measured at the crankshaft as opposed to a dyno which measures rear wheel hp...(RWHP).
As iano mentioned, not all dyno's will give the same reading.
A reading of 178hp is a very healthy busa engine, and to be honest, your not going to see 193hp without engine work of some kind.

My King was Dyno'd at 163hp then again quite close to it again.

Nothing like the Busa figures I've seen with the same motor (with ram air and different maps) but it runs constant 10.3's in stock trim with a numb nut rider at the drags.

My big girl was just dyno'd and got a result of 181hp. Shes a 2013 busa with a PC5 and R77 slip ons. K&N filter and thats all. No engine work. Sounds like between 178 and 186 is the norm for a gen2.

Interesting note tho, when i got it back from suzuki i asked for the TRE back. But they left it in. Not sure why. Doesnt really matter, she has great throttle response.

Oh BTW, put a dyno jet quick shifter on......YEEEEE HAAAA !!!!

Hope this helps

^^^^ Not bad for a fridge Kev!

But yeh, unless your running a few bikes at a time on the same day on the same Dyno it's sort of pointless comparing figures.

I had my old gen 1 on pattos dyno as well Kev, he's a good tuner, but I've always been told his reads on the high side.
