Gsxr1000 k7 rear end conversion for k1.

Looking at this mod and I think it looks fantastic..
I know you can buy the kit from America which supplys the subframe and the seat..
Buuut if I was to get hold of a complete rear end off a k7 could I make the subframe fit??
Also what exactly do I need?
Obviously the subframe and seat...
But what hidden things am I gonna be looking for??
Has anybody done this and if so how is it day to day as my bike is used as my daily commuter...
