1st question... does rear brake lights work using front brake lever?

if so then it's your rear brake switch which you can check by using test light to see if you got power to your rear brake switch, then if you got power from rear brake switch when activated...

being a bank of LED they all come on with general lights, using the brake levers makes them brighter, not turn on more.

if your horn works then the issue is between your fuse (#5) and your switches.. both front and rear lever supply power to lights via same wire (white with black stripe).
so if horn has power and you have 2 wires into light assembly that is 1 constant when ignition is on (headlights are on) and the other is on/off according to if a brake lever is activated then it's a problem in the rear light assembly.
I think shifu was trying to say even the OEM lights are cheap chinese crap LOL

I have a thought.
Your saying that the lights are on.
It could be a case where the brake lights are already on and not turning off.
I had this situation when I changed my pegs and the rear brake switch near the pedal was slightly out of adjustment and not switching off.
I first thought that my brake lights weren't working also.

Lucky's right, you could have a "stuck micro switch on one of the brake levers keeping brake light permanently on...

and as you have 2 permanently on pins then I put money on that

gotta really read BEFORE i reply lol

All good Tony. Thanks for the replies. Lucksafortune2 is the winner! Cheers bloke. I feel a bit silly, when I said I hadn't touched the switch that was a little white lie since I'd had the rearset assembly off and took the switch out and put it back on (hadn't ridden the bike in a long time) and remounted it all. I should've picked it up with the two live pins...

Thank you guys. Was doing my head in...
