It looks like Cobar would be closer to being central for all, except for WA peeps.

Wardies is ok with some good roads about that are busa friendly and ... some not :p :)

Honestly - NSW has more roads then VIC does to offer with coppers being a little less Nazi about a group of busas riding.

I'd be happy to make the trip from Vic up to NSW somewhere. Thunderbolts to Walcha you say?? Fang down the oxly you think ??

Sounds fuggin good to me ;)

yes up around the Oxley sound good may even get some more QLD members & less VIC members but you do need to change it around
Mt Seaview would be the choice to stay as there will be enough room for every one

Talengatta? I have spoken to Wardy about this mate, he just doesn't have the room to take all of us.

Has everyone gotten tired of Tathra? The Location?
The venue? Close and walkable after our main Saturday night function when we've all drunken a little bit much.
The magnificent roads around it?
The lack of appreciable numbers of Highway Patrol cars?

We have had 1 bad weather year in the last 4.

Do we have to put a poll up again to again test the waters of where we go in December?

I personally love Tathra for all of the above reasons.

Over to the masses.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!

Don't ask me for a location though, I am one of those people that prefers going to a new place everything. COuld never own a caravan sitting in a caravan park LOL but could own one and tow it somewhere new every time.

Some comments I heard were something like this...

>There are no deals on accommodation any more, in fact a few were told they had to get 3 nights instead of only the 2 they wanted.... Normally I would expect a large group like the AHC to be able to get some extra special prices on things like accommodation and meals ect...

>Other than riding there was much to do in the area.... As I had never been there before I can't really comment but it does seemed solely focused on beach activities.

I do think that it is in a good region for getting a lot of members to attend. The mid to west VIC/NSW border is logical as it is a "between" point for the 2 States, a reasonable days ride for anyone else (TAS & SA riders) and has plenty of great riding roads. Loved Kosciusko area!!

As for time of year..... Earlier makes the weather a lot more unpredictable even though November has public holidays (You VICs must not forget that no-one else gets Melbourne Cup off lol). December is very close to an expensive time of year (Xmas) but it IS the last chance of the year to get together. Personally I think that if you throw a date up early enough then those that want to go will get the time off.

Cheers
