So you'd have to suspect that you've stuffed up and your bike will be subject to a surrender notice in order to flog it off before having it confirmed that your bike will be subject to a surrender notice?

No, as is harleyore's case, the bike has been caught speeding at over 45kph over the limit by a speed camera. Therefore that comes under noons laws(WA).

The coppers then turn up to the owners house and ask who was riding. Whatever answer you give is irrelevant because the bike will be seized. Either you give it to the coppers there and then or they will place a surrender notice on you. When they do that you can't sell it.

Once you get it back you're free to do what you want with it.

Besides, why would you flog off a bike just because you think you've stuffed up?

f*** em hide the bike a relos place ,hey your gunna be walking for a long time anyway ,even if the court tell you to surrender it tell them to f*** off ,that's what I did ,I never surrendered my bike even with the threat of jail, there a bunch of c******* who are actually going against our constitution, hand the rego in so atleast they don't get the satisfaction of cancelling it,

,and tell them u sold it to your brother for $50 have a written receipt and both to sign ,/keep the bike hidden/ then show them this they cant touch the bike if you don't own it.....ive been through this bullshit with cops ,

Well the saga has finished, finally went to court yesterday, not an experience I would like to do again. got a $1,500 fine and 6 months but managed to get my spent conviction which is a positive, managed to talk my way out of most of it as the judge wasn't impressed was going to hit me with a $6000 fine and was talking about jail time which was probably to make me sweat which worked. So looks like its customizing and cleaning time for the 2 girls in the shed. At least I can still make the Busa bash next year.

Good to hear it's done and dusted for you mate.
Great news that you'll be able to make the BUSA run 15.
I have been through so many f*&^ing cameras of late that it
makes you realise your only one little twist of the throttle away
to be in your predicament harleyore.
Sucks!

It must be a relief after all this waiting. Still $1500 could buy a lot of bling! (that is always my thought when I get pinged Embarassed). I like that you see a positive in all this experience like getting some work done on them that otherwise would take forever Pi_thumbsup

I was pinged in the tin top a couple of weeks ago.
I was travelling at an eye watering 58kph, obviously a menace to society, or at least enough for the government to see fit to rid me of $409......
I know, I know. If I wasn't speeding, I wouldn't get done, but for gods sake, a little common sense by the coppers wouldn't hurt. (Note: It was a copper and not a camera).
I can only swallow this money grabbing greedy action by reasoning that it's better to get done at 58kph, than them getting me on a Sunday morning on the bike through the hills, where seldom, but occasionally I've been known to exceed 80kph.

58kph in what zone? $409 is a bit steep.

f*** that is steep, school zone?
It's getting so bad that I'm reconsidering Busa ownership.
Round town I can stick within reason of the limits, but lets face it when we go out on country runs there's really no use in owning one if your not going to give it some.
Wouldn't be a problem if they kept the cameras in and around the city but there now putting them out in the sticks on well known bike runs as well.
Bastards are taking all the fun out of it!

Come down to Tassie duc there eff all cops down here lol

I am just enjoying the fun of launching recently.. Had a ride with an R1 rider that spent 15 minutes raving about the R1 over the busa. First big hill I got bored behind him, dropped a few gears and launched up the hill.... He didn't get close to catching me before the top and I barley broke the speed limit lol
