Sorry mate. My brain has had a meltdown! I bought one of those nutribullets and I'm in vitimin overload. I'll resist the urge to post until I've settled down a little...

You're onto it BF! I have had five of these health shake smoothie things today and I reckon that if I got on my bike now and cracked 200 it would feel as if I was rollerskating.

It has become much faster. all the teething problems with delay are gone. What did you do...Pete?

Did you remove the Kawasaki search engine and replace it with a Suzuki one ??
It crashed again as f*&^ing usual this morning.
The fix has been to do this run REPAIR TABLE `mybb_sessions`; in phpMyadmin for the database. After the repair, looked around again and found the task manager settings in mybb backend were all off. Crons should run at various times to do things like clean out old sessions and read threads etc. They were all off, not set. The last run dates were yrs ago! These are normally on by default with fresh install so don't know how long they have been like that. So all these tasks to clear things are now set on as they should be. We've been going round in circles trying to find the crash issue for over a yr now. These settings relate directly to mybb sessions so maybe just maybe this could be the thing. BUT I've said that before so we need to just see what happens next week or so, if any more crashes, if performance is better etc.
