people read to much into things...

If I ask my wife to be polite I am anti-feminism

If I ask my children to be polite I am a child abuser

If I ask a person not of the same skin colour as me to be polite I am being racist

If I ask someone of a different religion or belief system as me to be polite I am being a anti-religious

But mean while I have to put up with ALL THESE RUDE people.. so wheres my right to live in a civil world????

(BTW.. my wife is a very polite person )

so we better ban selling the flag then....

better still better ban it flying on any public building cause it has been used as by racists. ooh and it is a reminder of the white British Australia too

better also ban the Aboriginal flag too cause that has been used in very racial demonstrations too

in fact as every nations flag has racial linbks to previous times an dattitudes we better ban the flying of every flag...

It was his interpenetration of what he has seen growing up. His words are real, we can't shy away from it. It is a fact that some idiots wreck the interpretation of what the flag is about and do the country's image no good at all.

I do understand that Pete, but wasn't that the basis of removing this t-shirt too? A minority used a similar slogan racially so now the whole notion of that slogan is deemed to have negative racial tones.

And using the Nazi Swastika as a comparison... I mean that guy has to get out and see what real racism is about... Fly to the European block countries or South African countries and see real racism.. Purification and genocide.

All I am asking is the point of view of some enough to vilify something that without that view is neutral?

Hahahahhaaaa

It is fun talking with ya Pete

The burka is a perfectly reasonable garment worn for both religious and cultural reasons BUT those reasons should never interfere with our domestic security requiring full identification. If they can wear a burka where ever they want then as biking is a passion, culture and (dare I say) religion for me then I should be afforded the same consideration wearing my helmet (which by the way is a legal requirement and safety devise as well)

I am not saying burka wearers should be banned from a venue or that those demanding ID cannot be culturally sensitive. but why shouldn't our domestic security be allowed to positively ID the wearer, maybe in a private room using only female officers?
