Never understood why the hump had to be a key opener. A is ole electronic opener like what you are installing fester supplied by ignition on or accessories only power supply to maintain security. You would have to have key in ignition and it tuned on for switch o operate.
The fuel cover for Suzuki Across was like that, and the tank/glove box had its own position on the ignition, from memory it was opposite turn from lock.

Suzuki gives us a reason to loose it!!!!

I was already thinking that I drove around every time with my bags.
And I wanted to open the hump, I always had to loosen. One case first
Before I could use my key.
So I thought of a magnetic pull what they use to open a suitcase. Car
So first two holes drilled and threaded revete placed.
Magnet with Tek7 put fixed and then used the original omhusel back.
A small piece rotated for securing the steel cable.
Then a small schakellaartje placed above the gauges.
Original lock removed and opening closed
That is a bloody brilliant idea Fester

I had to break the hump once I accidently locked it with the cable undone.

That is not a bad idea but I think the engine is not powerful enough for that.
But you can always try.
And luk it is good 'and it is not then there is nothing lost.
