Hi could someone please help me out? When I turn the throttle there's a little delay in the power delivery. What needs to be done to fix this?
Also can anyone tell me how far their Busa rolls forward or backwards when in gear as I think mine might have excessive movement in the gearbox?
My bike is a 2008 Gen 2 Hayabusa
Thanks guys
Matt

Have you checked the cable play in throttle? Some times the simplest things are where you should start

Up at the throttle there are 2 cables coming out of the bottom, each has a securing and adjusting ribbed collet. Undo the securing collet and turn the adjusting collet... BTW I cable is for throttle on, the othe for throttle off.....
I think they require 2mm of turn before activating cable?? Others will know more lol
What year is it??
Sorry just read ur intro again lol... I have gen I busa's 99-07 so others with later models will know more

Regards the rolling back and forward in gear.....check for play in the rear wheel cush dive.
Can you rotate the rear sprocket back and forth with the rear wheel not moving?

Driveline lash is a normal condition and it is an accumulated effect of all clearances - clutch, gearbox, chain, cush drive etc. in your bike. It is annoying when excessive but you can not do much about it. (I am assuming that all components of your bike are present and in good service condition. The amount of back - forth movement will be different in different gears (different numbers of clearances between different pairs of gears) and in my bike - 19000km is about 120mm. The incorrectly adjusted chain tension - too loose or stretched chain will make it worse. As far as the throttle goes the manual mentions some 2-3 mm but personally I like it to be as little as possible.
