Yoshimura R77 on Gen II
#1
I've recently purchased a set of Yoshimura R77 pipes and i'm curious if you need to buy gaskets for the link pipe like i did with the Dan Moto's.

I'm picking them up Friday but would need to know in advance so i can order some if needed.

Out of curiosity, what is the going price for a set of R77 slip on mufflers these days?
I paid about $1400 back in 2008 for my last set.

I like 'em. They've grown on me. If I had to do it all over again, I'd swap them for carbon fiber. But stainless matches all the silver!

I have these on my 08. The sound of dual pipes is awesome. I'll never go back to 4 into 1.

No question that there is more melody in a pair, especially with CF. Full 4 into 1 is just brash and crude :-)

Fellers I will admit that the R77's do sound nice and have a nice note especially around town and is also good for not drawing attention to yourself but I reckon there is but.....

Now don't get me wrong I don't like the sound of all 4-2-1's as some are just way too loud but a friend of mine last time we were out and about on the bikes reckon he could hear me coming and when I saw him sitting on the side of the road well as one would you would rip past on full noise and he said it was the sweetest thing that he had heard. He also has the R77 on and he said that he misses that side of it but everyone to there own as I said the R77's do have a nice sound down low and around town so enjoy..

Surely you were way too far behind me to make any judgement on the sound of my exhaust.

Pfffft, well I've got my R77 4-2-1 Full system and everyone has said how brilliant it sounds. It got a lot of you talking at the Busa Bash in Adelaide too :) I LOVE THE SOUND AND LOOK OF THE SINGLE. I always liked the dual and have had dual carbons too, but this single Is pure pleasure and is amazing.
As for price, I paid $1150 Delivered from USA including new PCV too, so your slip ons should be MUCH cheaper.

The double systems, no matter how loud are for those that want to thunk they are naughty but wont go the whole way... a bit like my yr 10 formal date LOL

I can't think of anything that sounds better than my 4-2-1 Brock trumpet and I have only heard it with me ON it LOL A few, like Alchemist, did comment at the Bash as to how good it sounded and I nearly stained my pants going through the tunnel Very Happy

might try a double Brock as something different but will always put my single system as the best :P

Yes, I think we all know that the 4 into 1 systems are the go.
