Alternative transport to Tathra 2014

Yeah yeah yeah..... I know... BLASPHEMUS

I would love my wife to enjoy the atmosphere of a bash this year but I know I will not get her used to the idea of spending 6+ hours on a bike averaging 100 kph.

So......

I thought I might put out there a question of is any body travelling to Tathra from Melbourne in a vehicle with more than 3 wheels

I was hoping to go via Wardys with a sleep over there on the Thursday night botany route will do

I know I can get my darlin better half on the bike when there, just need to get her there.

Early days still Tony, but if you get stuck, I've got a ute you can borrow. Load your busa up, drive from Melb. to Tathra with your wife, have some biker fun all weekend, then drive back to Melb. together again. You'll miss the pleasure of the ride up and back but it's still an option for your wife to be able to enjoy Tathra too.

Nah, I'm sayin' ya aint ALLOWED to ride.... cause if she can't then that automatically means you can't.

I just offered a solution....that takes all my gear too.

There IS a regional airport at Merimbula (just south of Tathra), and I'm fairly certain they (not sure which actual airline flies out of here?) fly to and from Melbourne (Avalon?).
The missus can fly in comfort, you get to fly low & solo to enjoy the ride to and from the bash.....everyone's a winner!!!!

There IS a regional airport at Merimbula (just south of Tathra), and I'm fairly certain they (not sure which actual airline flies out of here?) fly to and from Melbourne (Avalon?).

But good idea to check out Vic regional airlines... Are there any still operating?

If she's planning on going from here to Tathra on the bike, you can always chuck her on the train from Melb. to Albury. We're in town on Thursday and can pick her up. (Actually quite a pleasant trip)
