Tassie Riding in Summer
#76
Bike is all packed up and ready to go for an early departure tomorrow morning. First day's ride is 700km's from the Sunshine Coast down to just south of Port Macquarie, to stay the night at a FIFO work mates place. From there it is onto Yass then Sunbury for a days rest before hopping on the boat to Tassie on Monday.

Ride this Saturday....

Westbury - Batman Bridge via Exeter - Bridport - St Helens - St Marys Pass - Elephant Pass - Lake Leake - Campbelltown - Home

about 500 klm for me, more for Mozzie and heaps more for GOOFTROOP (ppsstt bed available if u want)

Got some friends joining in for Westbury to Bridport stage then they will have to head back to Launceston when refilling at Scotsdale (near Bridport) so if anyone else wants a short ride this should only be about 3-3.5 hours out on road..

Expected to be back near Launceston at 6pm

Will be a good run to see how road fares for Feb Biker

Had lots of fun rideing on the west coast with GOOFTROOP. You can even have fun without breaking the speed limit. Loved the section of road out of Queenstown that heads back to Derwent Bridge. The B28 was also good with some good fast flowing corners and great scenery. Looking forward for the ride over the East Coast on Saturday.

Would have loved to see more Tassie AHC members for some part of it and fingers crossed they might turn up...

Justin case call me on 0428587383 to find out we're we are if you want to hook up mid way

Cheers peeps

Bike has had spark plugs replaced...
Gone to a hotter plug due to blackness of ones pulled out. Scared the crap outta myself as after I put everything back together twice the bike was idling at 4000 Scary

Was about to get out manual and start looking at the million things that might cause this then I remembered I played with idle screw when I had it apart to make sure it was turning smooth...

Yep, turn down idle screw to nothing, bike would barely idle and adjusted it back up to the 1100-1200 as per manual.

Was panIced that the night before a 500k organised ride I had a bike that couldn't be ridden LOL
