Will check it out when down there in Jan 2014.

Have booked my tickets on the Spirit of Tasmania for the 6th Jan 2014 to the 16th Jan. Needed to book in the school holidays as the misses and kids are flying down. Will be staying with friends in Chudleigh west of Deloraine.
An planing one ride west to Queenstown and Strahan. Another trip east to St Helens and down the coast. Open to any other suggestions?
If any two headed people want to join me for a ride you are most welcome.

Good time to come down mate... Chudliegh should be nice that time of year.
I should have the whole weekend of 11-12th off so be happy to cruise with you on the east coast... many ways to do it and a lot of fun roads.

Tell me how long you want to ride or if your staying over night on east coast and we can work something out

this is a 500 klm ride.... as an example

That sounds good, can do an over-nighter if your up for it. Any good pubs to stay at over on the East Coast?
My map shows the Gladstone leg as having dirt.

there are good spots all up the east coast.... if just you then plenty of pubs to bunk down in.
if it's an over nighter I might be able to grab us a bed in Swansea.. then it can be a bigger ride LOL

> most satilite pics of Tassie are 2 years old

> day 1 Launceston to Swansea via Richmond. The Southern boys might hook up??
>day 2 Swansea to Launceston via St Helens/Scottsdale (maybe Gladston if roads are okay)

if we can get numbers I will ask if beach house in Swansea is available and if there any costs....

this run will also mean you would have done the entire East Coast road....

about 650 klm ride from Launceston
