![]() good to see you finally found the real secret of 2 wheels BUSA ![]() I can rememebr my own "look and stare" night when I got my 01 at home. It spent the first few months INSIDE.. I was determined no-one was gunna harm my new baby ![]() Just always rememebr 2 things.. 1. Busa's are an addictive bike (you will want more in your stables) 2. Modifying busa's is EXTREMELY addictive, just ask around ![]()

No worries tony, will try to keep a lid on the second. She put a big dent in my savings. Will have to sell the old one now, that will help.
Thanks for the input on the clutch guys. I'll do the pump bit and see how that goes but like I said it doesn't bother me. Bit of reminder to go easy on that throttle. It it didn't start to vibrate like a (vibrator?) around 5 grand I wouldn't even know how fast I was going. I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the speedo actually. Not while accelerating anyway. Truth be told I'm trying not to get under it as I just need to get used to it first. Not having much success though.

Gringo gringo Gringo
Select first gear, throttle off easy Busa is movin- ok Select 2nd gear, but dont select second gear At 7000rpm, from first gear- farkn hell Do it at 3500-4000, you'll find that sweat spot. Mmm Now from here F*cken reef on that throttle & snip it into 3rd Take that rpm to 7500rpm , nice isnt it When u need to snip it to 4th gear- Ride this with your ass tight, balls secured & your Witts & eyes wide open - on the money roll... Everything else means shit... Twist ya wrist & ride the wave of open roads , ;) Now after this set of tyres, u should Roll your way over to south australia Re : bush party in november Bud No bullsh!t- you will be glad u did it & Met the rest of us nutters ;))

Ok RYDRZ, I think I have that. Sort of quiet like a Toyota Pre-arse up until 3rd. Yes I must admit by the time it gets to 5000rpm in third the wind noise in the helmet almost masks the engine's rumbling change of tone. It's very easy to go slow on the bike I have discovered, so much torque, and very easy to go insanely fast too, but I can't seem to settle down to anything in between these options? Perhaps that's what the ABC button is for. For those days when I really need to just coast home with my bleary eyes not having to dart up every driveway and side street.
![]() Thanks Corpsedealer, I love the look of her too. I'm past 50 now and the hot colour sets don't suit me now. It would be a case of false pretenses and the young dudes on a litre bikes might lead me into doing things my reflexes are no longer up to. I needed something mellow looking that tells the predators up in the mountains that I'm not going to play, something with a little grey on it to match my head lol. Of course the ones on the M1 and the Ipswich motorway are another story. They might just find that giant can of whoop-arse opened right up in their faces. ![]() Yesterday I was coming back from Ipswich and the traffic wasn't too bad, there was some huge black cruser in the far right lane giving it some stick and passing all the cars around a left hand sweeper. The far left lane was empty so I moved over and passed him at about 140k I guess. Then I twisted that throttle back and wound it right up to probably 180 or 190 as I finished out the corner. Nice feeling! ![]() I would have taken the corner at speed anyway most probably, but at the time I had an attack of civic duty and needed to remind a cruser rider what they had actually sacrificed for the sake of a lay back ride.

you ride a harley! I tried that once, thought they would be great for back and neck adjustments with all that vibration. I handed it back after 20 minutes and never went near one again. Each to his own hey.

Nice thread and welcome aboard Gringo. I find the power comes on nicely around 5 - 5,500rpm but then there is another really big hit at around 8,000rpm where she then pulls hard right through to red line. As for the back torque limiter (slipper clutch) it only affects downshifts. Almost invaluable on the race track, you probably won't notice it on the road unless you're pushing silly speeds.
Cheers, Delirious.

No Dale, didn't. Springwood suzuki is where I got it so a call to Adam in sales, "he sold me mine" would get the info fast. I was shocked at the price of mine, they actually quoted me 13400 and when he went away with an offer of 12700 from me he came back and said "I got the price wrong" Here we go I thought, this is a new scam. But the price was actually lower, 12800. Now if I was a typical dealer, a dog like, I would have just come back with an offer of 12800 and not mentioned the price mixup.
I asked the money man when I was putting down a deposit a few questions and he said it was a private setup, father and son and just 2 shops, not like the big outfits, moto etc. Surprised me because it was a big shop and very modern. Anyway most people probably know all that. I usually go to HiSide for lids and pants etc, I'm no fasion whore, but I might compare prices at this shop next time too. They recon they would give me a good deal, we'll see eh? I have never bought a bike from a dealer before, didn't expect to this time either but I did.

I was just curious what they were asking for a 2nd hand 2012. I'm assuming it's 2nd hand .. unless it has the plate on it waiting for it's new owner to collect it.
