Hey guys stupid question,I'm trying to get the front wheel off my 06, I have loosened off the 4 hex key bolts at the front, and got a tool made up to undo axle, when I try and undo the whole axel moves on both sides, I have tried to tighten up one side but then the axel won't move at all
I owe I owe,so it's off to work I go!!!

Hello Ballsybusa, i too have had the same issue although on a TLR. i got desperate and used a rattle gun still wouldnt budge. i ended up soaking it with WD40 over night tying the bike down in my trailer using long extension bar this finally cracked it. reviewing the problem i can only put it down to when i had tightened the axel with my Torque wrench ( as per manufactures spec ) maybe i had over tightened it ??? I was thinking i may have to remove forks & wheel as 1. Maybe other owners could advise what torque setting they are using front & rear ???
Good luck let us know how you go.

That's a great vid. Same as my Gsx1400. There's a good shot there of the 'sleeve' on the clutch side that the axle threads into. When you put it back in put a dab of anti seize on the axle thread. My 14 was a nightmare first time I took it of (40,000 odd kms), but now it is good every time.
Edited for bloody outo correct...as always.
