Custom Brakes (updates)
#1
Well guys as you know the busa GEN I brakes are adiquate and thats being kind , So i set out to see what i can do about it on a budget , this is what i have found and done ,

i found a company makes bolt on brackets to mount radial callipers , i picked up a set of callipers of a BKING , and ordered the brackets from the company they arrived today

i fitted one side up and it took me 15 mins from start to finish

see the pics , know i know theres going to be alot of neigh sayers here saying what about this or that or Boo the brakes are good enought to that i say f*** OFF as its my bike and i love moding the shit out of it

price wise i have spent $140 on all the brackets and the callipers were a contra so all up to make my bike brake better i have spent about $150 with new fluid lol

Lovely. I'd like to do the same, but I'm painting my calipers red, as usual!

Have you taken it for a ride?

Well done Kev.

I ride a Gen1 with better pad's/fluid/braided lines etc back to back
with a stock B-King with its factory everything including rubber lines.
B-Kings radials (same as Gen2 are waaaaay better) Not sure how much
you'd gain from a radial master ? Gen2's isnt radial, B-King is, but is
designed for flat bar's and looks odd anyway.
Maybe a late model GSXR1000 radial master ?

Very interested in what your doing Kev.

As soon as my GSX1400 is finished (just need clocks) I can use
it as a tourer / pillion bike, (B-King is useless for that) and
my Busa is going to get some upgrades.

Always been disapointed in the Gen1's 6-plops so keep me informed Mate.

Where did you get the caliper conversion plates from ?

Just been out measuring a few things,
seems the 14's 6-plop's are different again, Different mounts.

i hear ya mate thats why i did this mod to improve on the brakeing , i have improved the rear suspension with an aftermarket unit (white power) and now i have the tools to do the front springs 900 gramm stock replaceing with 1.2 gramme springs and 10 W oil , should be a mark up on what i have had as stock for the last 7 yrs
