Helmet Traps Rider

Helmets usually save the lives of motorcyclists but in one man's case, it was the cause for a delicate rescue operation.

Last night, a Sydney rider was knocked off his bike and became trapped underneath a parked car when his helmet jammed, Nine News reports.

Paramedics, police and fire and rescue crews were all at the scene in Coogee just before 6.30pm last night.

It took half an hour to free the man from the car.

He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to hospital.

Whilst the rider was trapped by his helmet, it ultimately may have saved his life.

I was good to read that he was treated for minor injuries and nothing worse.
