Well, he's going to remember not to do THAT again....

Hope he has a speedy recovery, and make sure he sees a good doctor / occupational therapist (OT) about that wrist... I have a mate in melbourne who specialises in this, and he sees literally thousands of cases a year where the quacks say it'll be allright, but months too late they refer to him.

+1, 03busa! Pi_thumbsup

I remember how "keen" I was at that age......and I occasionally find it hard to believe that I'm still here, sometimes! Embarassed

It's a very fine line between pleasure & pain....I hope your young fella heals up well and also maintains his passion for the two-wheeled love affair that we all are so obsessed with!!! Yes

My young bloke was similar,he started on a baby blade then jumped on a gixxer 1000 and went alright for the first year or was lucky then one day showin off pulled a wheely then screwin the throttle in second the back wheel lit up and all over red rover.broke his ankle bone off smashed all the bones in his hand, girlfriend said your an idiot and not getting another bike cause that one was a right off,and that was the end of his rideing career,i lend him the bus every now and then and the rest of the time he can only dream,oh yeah those gixxer 1000 are weapons and if you don"t respect it then they will bite you.he learnt the hard way.

How many times we talked here about wearing the right gear? They are young and feel invincible and bulletproof. Can not help that (as were exactly the same) but as parents we can make sure that the damage is minimised. Do not know the details of what and how it happened but these abrasions (maybe even the nasty cur on the foot) are easily avoidable by wearing the right gear. Hope he recovers soon and learns from it.

He did have the right gear he just made a bad mistake and didn't have it on. I'm gathering you don't have teenagers. As parents you can only guide them in the right direction after that they seem to learn the hard way(well some do)most teenagers these day's.
