Yes, he is clearly selling stuff (and I've bought stuff from him), but I find his posts very interesting and informative.

Make no mistake, we are a parts dealer, and an approved sponsor of this site. Offering motorcycle parts & running professional tours is how I make ends meet. So yes, everything you see here can be purchased on the PashnitMoto.com site.
On the same token, this is my personal bike- This season, I'll spend a whole month sitting on this bike over 10,000 miles, leading tours and traveling all over.
I love reading about bike builds & do it yourself threads, I hope you guys do too. Being able to take a clean slate like a stock Busa, and create the bike that you envision & fits just you is what it's all about! More updates as time permits & I can post up. It's a really fun list back in post #1. :)

Next step is to change out the Gas cap for a keyless model. This is the Vortex base & cap:

Bunch of colors to choose from to match your bike. We'll go with the silver billet to match our silver theme.
Remove the stock setup, just a couple bolts, comes right out.
If you have a Gen-II Busa, note the bolt patterns are different on the tank from the 99-07 to the 08+.
Bit of loc-tite, and on goes the new one.
Also try out a blue one. Hmm... I think the silver works better. This cap is the Pro-Tek brand which incidentally matches up just fine with the Vortex base.

Im happy with the posts Tim.
Whilst your selling goods and giving people ideas on possible MODS you are also showing people and writing posts on how to do things with full write ups and pics. So its educational giving people knowledgee and ideas.

Looks the goods, But useless for the daily rider. My concern would be contamination by some prick.......

A common mod among riders is a new set of levers. Pazzos are super-popular & I have set too.
These are the FP Tacticals, a bi-folding lever that can be engraved on all four sides. What I don't like about the stock is as soon as the bike falls over on a long-ride in a parking lot, the lever bends or snaps off (DAMHIK).
An ounce of prevention is with worth a pound of cure. So for the sport-touring riders, this is another insurance item that's well-worth the investment.
Thinking of a new set of levers, take a look:

FP Tactical Bi-Fold Levers
Stock Hayabusa Lever...
Short FP Tactical Lever compared to stock
Also common for riders to buy long clutch - short brake combos.

Very simple mod - simply remove the bolt, and the levers slide right out. Be careful as some models have tiny springs in them.
And done! The short levers work awesome and have a feel you get used to. The sensation of the lever is enough that as soon as a new bike comes into the garage, stock levers get tossed first. People often call up and ask which length to buy, it's your choice, but shorts outsell longs 2 to 1.

Next project we need to work on is the brakes. I opted to ride the bike a couple thousand miles to get a feel for the stock brakes on our brand new Hayabusa. Overall impression: They suck. Sitting on a bike for 16 hours & a 500 mile day gives you a few moments to reflect on descriptive words to best describe your stock brakes. Adequate. Suzuki engineers slapped them on, then called it a day & went home.
Stopping 194 horsepower? Super twisties?
Not with these brakes.
So we have a couple things we can do. Toss the stock rotors. Throw on some Galfer HH Sintered pads, plus change out the rubber brake lines for Galfer stainless steel models. The single most cost effective thing you can do for your motorcycle is toss the rubber brake lines in the trash.
First thing we'll do is swap out these stock rotors & pads.
Looks are always in the eye of the beholder, but the difference in appearance is remarkable.

Kanji Axle Caps, these even match my frame caps.
Illumiglo gauge faces - love these things!
Although they involve a bit a wiring...
We'll also install a Scottoiler eSystem.
Since we are planning about 16,000 km of travel this year on the bike. One less thing to worry about.
Inner Dash Panels being sent out to Race Ready Designs for custom paint. What Race Ready will do is sand off the crocodile pattern, make them smooth to match the fairing panels & paint to match. They'll even paint on the racing stripe. Also sent them a set of stock mirrors, and a set of GSXR1000 mirrors.

We're also going to do something a bit unusual and send them both lower fairing panels and the belly pan. No more black, the bike is too dark; we're going to have them painted blue. Also been mulling over sending them a front GSXR1000 fender too.
Chrome Fairing Screens - We have a bunch of the chrome ones in stock for the Gen-II
Plus an all new SuperSprox in a 42T. Going one down in the teeth should give us a bit lower revs at speed and better gas mileage.

The SuperSprox brand has been embraced by the Hayabusa community to handle our higher horsepower. A steel outer ring with an aluminum inner to save weight. Then joined together with Titanium rivets. The result is a sprocket that lasts 3x longer and weighs 50% less than steel.
Although the silver stock nuts don't look right. Sent out for some Gold Sprocket Nuts...
