driving lights

Ok collective im after opinions on a set of driving lights for the BUS maree and i are doing alot more away trips now and we are usually traveling back in the dusk/dark i know BLACKZOOK has a wicked set but lets face it i dont have the bank of zurick kinda money so im after an affordable style of driving lights

so if ya can shoot me your ideas please let me know i have seen a few but do i go halogen or LED as i said there lots to chose from but not sure where to start

change to HID head lights.

Had a HID system on the Busa tOok it off as it caused a regulator problem so won't run HID again

Rigid LED lights are the go. Low power consumption and MASSIVE amounts of lights.

Kev mine are now less than half the price they were when I got them. Still the best out there by far.

Ten times the light of any cheap arse LED's

If you had a problem with the HID's then there must have been something wrong with them, get a quality set not some crap from Egay, if your not confident with wiring get a auto lec to fit them.

Thanks Bruce yeah there was a prob with the ballasts and it shat out my reg/rec so I'm back to stock lights at the moment

I think they look best mounted down off the front forks...

Had my HIDs in for maybe 5 years Kevtherev. I do a balast every 30 months or so at a cost of maybe $80. best lights I have ever had. Same bike mate so may have been a problem with the way they were installed. You need a bright spark like Les (Busdriver!!) No worries!

Keep us posted on what you do Kev... I'd like those lights on my forks, but $475 is beyond my budget for lights.

yeah i know what ya mean you need to have a sultans chest to have those lights , with more and more touring that maree the busa seems to get better n better
