I'm workin or would of been happy to take you for a spin. Good road up through Springbrook, take the Lyrebird Ridge Rd loop after you,ve gone through the single track part at the top past Paddimelons Cafe, back down Pinecreek road, turn right at the bottom head back to Nerang but take the Beechmont turn to the left after about 15km. That,ll take you through to Canungra, turn right at Canungra junction takes you back to Nerang and a straight run back to Mermaid. Have a look on a map. Springbrook you can scrape your pegs to your hearts content but look out for the drop offs, they're a killer. literally

I should be around and would be more than happy to meet up and show you a few of the good roads the gold coast has to offer.

I would suggest heading down to muwillumbah and coming up through advancetown and then up to Mt Beechmont and on to canungra for lunch and if your keen we can hit Mt Tamborine and head back to surfers.... That would pretty well take in the Best roads around the coast for riders.

At the moment riding in/out or through the gold coast one has to be a bit more vigilant due to increased presence of the police who where deployed to tackle the crime wave hitting surfers. To top it off the unfortunate officer(shouldn't have happened) who got shot in the face and perished doing his job has understandably put their level of tolerance a little lower.

Your kidding right?! The "increased" presence has nothing to do with traffic cops. They are purely there to takle increased violence on the coast (long over due IMO).

You make it sound like they have deployed thousands of officers tackling all crimes.
Yeah bazman, it will take in literally all of the top 5 rides on the coast in one hit.

I actually live at Mundoolun so I'm a fair way from mermaid, but if we all met at the McDonalds at Elanora that would be a good starting point. I can't promise we won't get lost as it will be the first time I have gone through muwillumbah from the coast. But after that we will be sweet :)

My number is 0402704335, feel free to give me a call and organise it all. I will be in Narrabri this week for work so I may be a little busy, don't stress if I don't answer leave me a voicemail and I will get back to you.

You might what to read my post again as what I was saying is that there is an increase in police presence and no matter what they are doing if they and you are on the road than the possibilities of getting nabbed speeding are higher,Im not sure why you interpreted the way you did.You might want to take note that especially after that 94 year old woman was sexually assaulted yesterday the chance of patrolling the ins and outs of the goldcoast are going to get higher so all should be a bit more vigilant.

Ok so I'm meeting Anne-Maree at 9:30am at maudsland, which means we should be at Elanora Mcdonalds at around 10am.

Then off as mentioned before for muwillumbah up to beechmont lunch at canungra then over tambourine and back down the coast.

See you all then.

P.S. This is for Sunday ;)
