Just called Suzuki and they claim that any other part effected by the recalled item should be replaced by the dealer but the dealer has to make the choice and decision?????

Bloody typical "passing the ball" situation mate. From my experience in automotive industry I think the manufacturers responsibility ends with replacing defective part i.e. the rectifier even if other components got damaged. The rest is up to a dealer, so you have to have a nice Knuppel2 talk to him. Of course you have a good case in the court but they count that you will not take the action because of the amount involved. Maybe we should write a colective letter to Suzuki Australia (or even better Suzuki Japan) expressing our feelings about this. They pay more attention to such things because of the negative publicity it generates.

Bill find yourself a "Good Dealer" as much of the Yay or Nay regard warranty depends on how hard "Your Dealer" pushes for you Coolsmiley

Hi Pete,

Problem is that its a brand new Suzuki dealership - starting next week.. if they cannot take care of the current customers then God only help them...
Now I have to find the 'Good Dealer'

LOL

As Shifu said,
If we all write to suzuki and tell them how much we really like the ZX14, and all we need is an excuse to change camps ......

Bill this has nothing to do with any bikes but a similar situation. We bought a Samsung TV and there was an offer from the company of a free one by redemption. We went through all sorts of crap with the Australian subsidary and in the end I threatened to send a letter stating everything that had happend to the head office in Korea. Within a couple of days the tv was delivered. I would do the same with Suckzuki Aust if I were in your shoes.
Smoke me a kipper I'll be home in time for breakfast
