k7 write off auction
#1
Found my writen off k8 at manheim fowles auctions today at moorebank, the motorcycles will be autioned on the 19/4/ 2011 tuesday. It was a sad sight to see it out in the weather. It was bolted to a palet as it is hard to push with bits of the rims missing.Dont know how much it will go for but it had only done 18000 k and oil change every 4000k.It did loose oil on the right side of the engine but not sure of damage.might be a good buy for spares if not to much.I put a few pics on if a gen1 buyer is interested, but as I said depends what it sells for if it is worth it.

Not to sure myself either,I feel its a very lot of superficial damage but under all that who knows, the bike never struck any objects but barrel rolled sideways(oops I fibbed,I hit the wallaby at the start)after a big tank slapper. If I had a worn out gen1 about 2grand would be worth thinking about because it was going perfect Undecided

Don't like to see this happen to anyone. Certainly would not like to go through this myself. If tar does this to the bike hope you shaped up ok. Makes leather even for commuting attractive.

Had a pair of the hornee jeans on a joe rocket jacket but just the summer one that you can take the inna lineing out,a $350 kbc helmet about 4yrs old,and a good pair of boots.the hornee jeans did a good job considering, the problem being that as you slide down the road and I must have been going feet first at one stage the kevlar part of the jeans got pushed up past my knees and a hole in both legs of the jeans just below the kevlar and that did the knees no good, but the hip part of the jeans did a good job and the arse end.Glad I was not wearing my sneakers as I sometimes do because these rocket boots saved my feet with the soles being pulled adrift slightly.Something I have never thought about when putting on gloves is to make sure they are done up tight around the wrist because one of mine came of and did the hand no good. Also full face helmets are great,it took the brunt and not my face. From now on I will be wearing leather gear although what I had on did ok,live and learn.
