Bill please excuse my adding 1 more line to this thread.
If the guys had of just followed my advice and contacted the vendor directly and said they were a club member this could have all been done without the blow up.
Sorry to have seen another vendor thread go to shit.

Maybe the admin's should delete every post in this thread except for the first one made by Jennifer.
After her initial post the thread pretty much becomes useless. (except for a few replies from Jennifer answering questions)
If you want to buy some fairings, go for it. Jennifer has made the $50 discount offer to us all which is more than fair.
If any single member buys a set and puts up their own review regardless of club status or professional fitment, then great.
If you like the product then let us know, if think there is an issue and don't really like them then fine too, don't just bag them without a valid reason or decent constructive description as to why.
I'm not saying all that happened needs to be swept under the rug and ignored (or maybe it should be?) but I don't see the point of having all the argument displayed in the vendors thread that has nothing to really do with the offer or quality of product.
I think this thread should now be treated as "let's just start over again without the added baggage attached".
No more special single member free fairings offer to test or trial, just simply the same offer to each and every one of us in the AHC.
Thanks for being such a good sport throughout this Jennifer.

Agree 100% BikerBoy. I read the entire thread and I have to say that I am embarrased right now being a member of this club. Jennifer must think a lot of us as a group of people bonded together by the love of riding their favourite motorcycle. Thought that moderators and administrators are there to moderate and administer not to be imposing some dictatorship rules on isses that do not affect the club. It is just a product review for f*ck sake. Not experienced enough to fit the fairings? So much better for the review as I am sure they will be bought by members who do not do it for a living.
No wonder people are leaving this bog.

How many times should the admins clean a threads due to members fighting amongst themself - everyone thinks its the mod team who is dictating the rules and imposing condition.
Please remember, the AHC is like a home, if someone comes to your house and starts tharshing it and miss treating your family members - would you or would you NOT ask the person to behave and if still the person dosent behave you ask him to leave.
Please treat and respect the forum and its members as you do it for your family and members - I have no intention to dictate anyone anything - but if we go back and do the same thing one more time - I promise if I am still a Admin - I will discuss this with the Admin team and take action.
Else, I will leave this club as I am a family to take care of and kids to raise - i cannot put this club in front of my Work, family or friends.....
I was monitoring the club from 4.00 AM till 1.AM next morning last Friday.
Please understand Admins situation and respect everyone. I dont favor cleaning of this thread, but will discuss it with the admin team and I am open for any decision.
Cheers,
Bill

Bill,
I think you are completely missing the point. As a Admin you have completely failed on two accounts. First is to act immediately when members are being unfairly treated/abused or offended.
Second is sticking your Administrative nose where it does not belong i.e. usurping the right to decide who is going to be reviewing the aftermaket fairings. You might notice that this thread was going quite well untill somehow the Club Admin got involved in it. Some of you might be the founders of it - great work and our ethernal grattitude for it, but it is not your private domain or property to be assuming a dictatorship role in it. Same rules apply to everyone, no exceptions, no specials. For me it was all simple - two guys raised their hand first. And that is it. Someone didint like it? Tough shit, get used to it! And you as an Administrator or being a part of that group should nip it in the bud right there. Not coming with some piss week excuses about lack of experience with fitment and crap like that. Mate, we have never met and I do not know the other members involved either so I have no stake in this. I am only writing this because of simple principles by which I live. Wrong is wrong, no matter who is behaind it. This Club needs to look inside and fix the issues whatever they are or it will become obsolete and irrelevant. If my comments have offended any one you must be feeling guilty and I do not apologise for it.
Do not forget why we are all here.

Sorry mate but that is where you are wrong, this forum is owned by one person and it IS his private domain to do exactly what he wants with it, be it appoint moderators to uphold the rules ageed upon by all members and make decisions on his behalf or to pull the plug completly.
We are here by invitation we dont own or controll this place. This forum has been going for over ten years so minor upsets like this that may seem important to some are really trivial in the grand scheme of things.
The owner and the mods will decide the direction this club takes if we dont like it we can invest out time elsewhere.

hear hear!!!!! you have said it better than i did, i know remsta flew off the handle, and made himself look like a dick, but im sure most in his situation would do the same, and by the looks, things like this happen all the time judging by what other older members have been saying,
as iv said, i dont care who got them, i dont personaly know remsta or bruce, and realy dont care wich one of them got the set, as i would have taken ether of there words of wisdom on the matter, but what i do believe is remsta had his hand up first, in wich case should have had first option, and i think its quite disturbing that an admin got in the way and made alternate arrangements, next we will be begging permision to make posts, post photos, or even set up a meeting to go for a ride under the ahc banner - this is just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt and i dont mean any disrespect by it, but iv owned, admin and run a few forums over the years, and this shit doesnt fly with bikers, car guys, drag racers, or photographers, in my experience
i want reviews on this product as ill be looking to buy soon, and am hoping that now the competition is out of the way, we can move on, get the fairings sent, fitted, and reviewed
cheers, ash

i agree with this, but honestly, does the recipient of a free set of fairings in exchange for a review realy have anything to do with "the direction of the club"??
im not trying to, nor do i realy want to butt heads with the kind members of this forum, but iv been a member only a couple of months, and i can already see why it happens

I spoke to my boss about this, and he has said that he's willing to ship out two fairings for just the cost of shipping in exchange for a prompt and honest review. He just said the following rules need to apply:
1) The community needs to agree that they will accept your review as honest and reliable if we send them out to you. 2) You need to be realistic with the expectations. These are great fairings, with precision fitment and high quality paint. They are however aftermarket fairings and we do recommend professional installation
Skid I understand your comments but read above posted by the vendor. Rem proved himself to be none of the above. Dont forget that I will not be keeping the fairings in fact I dont care what colour or pattern they are as they will be immediately removed and put up for sale for the club or the money could be given back to the vendor I dont care iether way.
