Bill,

Shit go mate, but it's not too bad.

To get everything new you're looking at around 2.5-3k

But i'm sure the lovely folk on here might be able to help you with a RHS can and a foot peg for a fair price. Fairing might be a little trickier.

Best of luck with it mate.
Regards,

John

Had a similar situation many years ago (15 + ) , but it was my first registered bike ( XR250 ) was at local fish and chip shop -- 10 car spaces - i was parked in one and was the only person there -- some clown then pulls in and reverses into my bike. knocks it over.

basically unless you illegally park your bike up on footpaths or behind pedestrian bollards , its juts a matter of time before some grong hits your bike.

Mate, feel sorry for your misfortune. I got a new LH OEM can for gen 2 that gathers the dust and takes space. Wanted to sell it for the boat anchor but no one wants it Lol3
It is yours for free, just pay for the postage. Shoot me PM with details.

I got exactly the same degree of damage as you about a month ago.
It's all asthetic but it's a blemish on a thing of real beauty - very irritating!
I'm just living with it for the moment, saving up for a plastic repairer to work on it. Cheapest option I'm told.

guys, the best way to park in those spots between cars is to not park your bike near the gutter but keep it out as far as safely possible so the driver will see the bike before he starts to turn in,just got to hope the cars pulling into and out of bays beside you dont hit your bike.

Bill,

I am still holding that RH can for you. Do you still need it? I have lost the track of your story with the insurance. Please let me know as maybe someone else might need it. Just read that another mumber had an encounter with a feral pedestrian Scary and ended up sliding on the RHS.
Cheers,
