Wheel bearings...
#1
Where's the best place to get them done in Sydney area? What price am I looking at? And are the good ones sealed from both sides available in Australia yet? Ta!

Also, how do clear the front wheel pass the fender if all I have is a front wheel stand that goes under the forks? Double ta!

I got good quality double sided sealed wheel bearings at AutoPro for $10 each. Fitted at Bikecare in Newcastle for a further $32.

Most of the bearing companies have them either on the shelf or within 24hrs.
Busgo did you check the class of bearing you bought from AutoPro? its classified by a C value..class of internal fit..need to be carefull and also many Chinesse bearings coming into this country..... we have been caught out a few times in heavy industry with "substitute" replacements and have paid heavily.

I don't have the bearing part number anymore. Harry from Bikecare looked it up for me so I could buy them in advance of getting them changed.
When I took them into the shop, Jamie, the mechanic, said yep they are the good ones.
They were definitely sealed on both sides as opposed to the standard SUZUKI 99 model bearings that are only sealed on the external side and the seal comes as a separate part.

You can contact BIKECARE on 02 4952 1352 Monday to Friday.

You can take off the front wheel with the stand under the forks, you just have to undo the screws on the fender and lift it up, just remember to remove your brakes first.

cheers. will post pics soon
