New unmarked Police car

By choice they are hiding their identity, so I'll treat them like they are not there.

Anyway it could be a CFA car on the way to an accident or fire (not all are painted red), a patient transport vehicle, the SES, the RSA, a Vic Roads car, a private security company, the pace car from the local track, a new-age Hoon having some fun. They all have flashing lights and most have sirens too.
Without any visible indication how the f*** are we supposed to know who's who?

For a start, all fire vehicles & ambos are clearly marked, regardless of what colour they might be; they are quite obviously NOT COPS and just need you to get out of their way. Remember, it could be your house on fire, or someone you care about in need of assistance that they're trying to get to ASAP, so pull over. It's only the cops that have completely unmarked cars.

Oh yeah, and good luck to anyone trying the "I didn't know for sure that you were cops" defense. Let me know how you go with that. Do they have internet access in prison??

We have to display number plates to identify our vehicles, why should they be allowed to disguise their identity???

You've missed the point entirely.
Moving out of the way is not the issue.

Maybe in your state things are different, but in Vic I see many cars with mounted lights and hardly any means of identifying who they belong too. Just about every day on the way to work I pass a Silver Commodore complete with lights, no logo, no signage and he wears a grey uniform. Does that make him a cop because it's a completley unmarked car? maybe he works for the communist chinese labour party that Gruntmax talks about. If he was sitting up my ass with lights flashing obviously I'd move out the way, but the statement is that 'I will not pull over and stop'. And yes they do have internet access in Prison, but certain sites are restricted and you can't download porn.

Apparantly you can download porn in the can, but it's only blokes plunging blokes, which, depending on your persuasion, could be right up your alley (no pun intended).

Not Pulling Over would be considered a "Traffic Offence" & as such would not be a jailable alleged offence.
The only jailable driving offence is "drink driving" and because of the pissweak legislation, drunk drivers very rarely get jailed anywayCoolsmiley

i'm loving the bundy wagon(rodeo i think) with the passenger holding a hand held radar..
that is surely not an accurate reading as they drive along?

p.s. If we were in the boon docks of america, yea pulling over for unmarked cars would be a no no.
In good old oz, you would be fairly safe..(otherwise cop the fine for not pulling over )

by the way stopping or not ,if an unmarked
police try to pull u over, hell yes if it is in a safe place, but what about in the middle of nowhere at night? the coppers tell us that if in doubt, u can drive (without stopping to a safe place) thats what i would do cause i know some lowlives can kill for a busa... what would you do?

An unmarked car with questionable people with baseball caps and jeans does not make a case for refusing to stop. They could be a bunch of drug crazed homicidal lebbos after all!

This crap about going to a Police station is fine for some, but I personally find it very scary if somebody maybe impersonating a police car, and as a vulnerable individual I feel the need to protect myself by running away. I believe it may be a reasonable defence to any charge of speeding or other infraction if you felt at risk. After all, there is no realistic possibility of obtaining police assistance in those circumstances unless you are conveniently in a 'Maccas' car park around lunch or tea time.

Before you think about not pulling over for a unmarked police car think again,if you are persued by the police at speed you could be charged under skyes law which can leed to a minimum of three yrs jail. Might be a bit different in the states where that sort of stuff happens, but thats only my view. I,ve been pulled over plenty of times on my travels by unmarked cars half the time they just wanted to look at the bike, had one cop call me a nutjob for ridding a bussa, then said if those things had wings talked for while then sent me on my wayPi_thumbsup

I am surprised you are not annoyed by police just pulling you over to look at your bike. That is a massive waste of time for everyone involved.
I pity the fool who goes out tryin' a' take over da world, then runs home cryin' to his momma!
