Fastest run had a 60' of 2.061. Best 60' was 1.991 others were 2.252, 2.159, 2.085, 2.022
It was awesome but the better times just weren't coming. Im pretty sure Im lossing out at the launch. Im pulling away without reving and slipping. Everyone gets better starts than me. Any hints on launching?

Chris told me he only had one run last night. 9.72. He is happy with his consistency. He will be there this weekend. His race number is 2529
Blackbusa, it is just a matter of getting the revs and the clutch right. That will come with a few runs. Watch some of the others and choose the style that suits you and your budget. You can easily waste a clutch the way some leave the line.

Ken 9.72 with no mods just straps?
Mine is not stock which is why Im a little frustrated and Flanno got a 10.014 on his completely stock 2010 Busa.
PCV with Auto tune and Quick Shifter just had it dynoed last week as well with a custom map also TRE-Pro, BMC Street Filter, Yoshi R-77 Full System, BST Carbon Rims and 16 Tooth/40 Tooth Sprockets. I know I will have to get a strap and adjustable rear lowering link.
I think my shifter may have let me down as well because until last night I had been running the kill time at 50 milliseconds. I didnt want to miss a gear I changed it to 100 milliseconds which turned out to be way too long. I ended up losing out in pick up to a zx10r after 660'.

Ah well, keep practising, u will get better, 1/4 mph usualy tells wat the bike is capable of, some people can run mid to low 10's stock, were as others with good mods cant match them, i know of a nitrous zx14 than wasnt able to run times another bloke was running on a stock one, after alot of practise hes now runing good times

Blackbusa, i wouldn't compare yours with a gen2 if yours is a gen1. The gen 2 seem to be a bit quicker on the 1/4 mile.
Chris has 6 inch extensions on as well which makes him sixty foot in the low 1.5s. It is definitely stock because I have MTC pistons, cams, HD valve springs, 1mm OS inlet and exhaust valves, Nitrous kit and late model ECU and stator to put in it when he gets back from Perth and then get it flashed by Pete.
The best thing you can do is practice and find the best method to launch that suits you.

My son Chris is into the third round on his Hayabusa. He has been riding very well with a few minor problems with the CO2.

Never been to a drag race in my life, so a couple of newbie questions:
1. What is the procedure for entering?
2. All the photos/videos I see make it look greasy/slippery (especially night shots) at the start area. Is it actually like that?
