Hey Adrian,
I haven't tried it, but if ur taller than 6ft, like a few of us around here....I can see why you'd be keen to find some extra room down there! But don't forget, those rubber pads aren't just there for grip....coz they also stop a hell of a LOT of vibration travelling up your legs as well!!! But they are easy to remove....so you could juz take 'em off and go for a long ride, and if you can handle the vibrations (+ less grip & ugliness), you might have found an easy solution to ur prob! As an alternative....there are some very nice looking aftermarket "race-style" peg sets around at the moment that sit a little bit lower than the original ones (my mechanic has some sitting on the shelf for the modest price of $40) and they would definately help supply an extra bit of room down there (and make the busa look much more sexy)! PM Madmax and/or Greeny_SA.....i think they both run some trick pegs that are highly adjustable!

"casting dispersions on others credability." And their illiteracy.

I flattened out my Gen1 pegs many yrs ago ie I cut off all the rubber ridges that made it pretty high. I wanted less cramp for legs. Have no regrets in doing so, they were a crazy design to begin with imho. only drawback is it might not pass roadworthy if had to be inspected by a government body.
