I love riding in rain, I had the pleasure of riding in one of the thickest rains in Mumbai - (26 inches in 24 hours) bad roads, worst traffic and bloody Royal Enfiled Bullet... some time almost 3/4 of the 19 inch wheel use to disappear into the rain generated pot holes... lot of them and lots of water.
I also had the pleasure of riding in -4% in Dallas with bit of snow (mild) fall, but lot of black ice on the corners.
I regularly enjoy rain riding here, never miss a rain / fog filled cold day.......

I love it!
I did my Stay Upright "Cornering and Braking" course at Oran Park Track and it rained all day. I hated it at first, but once you learn to keep the bike more upright and lean off it a little more in the wet, it feels amazing.

I just hate how the bike gets dirty...

Don't mind the rain , only real difference is a smaller margine of error, when it goes there is no real warning , one second your feeling good the next sliding and wondering what exactly happened .

Bill mine looks like i haven't cleaned it in a year... but it was only to during and from the GP in the wet

I reckon I could own up to being the slowest rider I know in the rain. Unless I'm pushed I love slow and steady with little braking and smooth power delivery.

I have to admit, I turn into a 'big ol girl' in the wet, self preservation seems to kick in.

Rain seems to suck the fun out of motorbike riding for me!! Biker
People are like turtles....... you don't move forward unless you stick your neck out!! Boobies4

Gee I thought I was the only one that left my testys at home when in the wet, have had a couple of offs when raining so take it easy these days, but as Ward said the tyres are pretty good these days.

Open roads, don't mind it at all. You get into a rhythm and minimal hazards to require emergency actions.
I'm a different rider when its pissing down and commuting however. Drivers freak out and oil everywhere doesn't instill much confidence.

Well fellers for me it's like anything else at first you may tread with caution but as your confidence grows the better things feel.

When I never owned a car and only had the bike to rely on I found that it was the best time to speed and did some of my quickest runs in the wet mainly because I never saw any cops on the roads. I must admitt though since my Busa is more of a Toy for me and not my main mode of transport and to have slowed in the wet but I think that may have something to do with getting older Lol3.

So these days all I do is ride to the conditions and my abilities and enjoy the ride more than anything.
