Mine is all white, just beautiful.

How long have you had it for (days, weeks?).
What bike did you have before and why did you go for the Busa?
Are you thinking abut any mods yet?

Hi Pan, I picked it up last Monday so only a couple of days. Will be taking it out for a run this sunday. I have had a huge jump from a ninja to the Busa. The Busa has been a long time dream. Mods yes I want to change the exhaust already, I want to be heard. Will have to wait a bit though.

Hey Kylie Welcome to the club great to see we need more female riders on Busas over here in WA.
Where about in WA are you??

I know that becboo is from WA and visits the forum every now and then you can always drop her a PM.

Don't worry about the other half he will get use to it and maybe see the light himself and buy one and as people have mentioned we have a great bunch over here so look for anything in the riding thread with WA in it.

Cheers Rev004

Lol.. other half has a triumph rocket 3 roadster 2300cc so a tad bigger than mine although he did enjoy riding it. I am on the outskirts of Perth and we do country rides on the weekends. Where are you?
Thanks for the welcome, hope to see some of you out on the open road :)

Hi Kylie,

Well what can one say triumph rocket 3 roadster and it still won't keep up with the Busa Lol3 yes I know it's a different type of bike but bloody hell they are big.

One of the guys I know has just brought one and I'm still bagging him about it I rathered his Night Rod but we won't go there.

Anyway I'm down in Mandurah and there is quite a few of us down this way Rockingham etc. When you say on the out skirts which set of hills as there is some of the guys up Kalamunda way.

Anyway keep an eye out for maybe our next mocha/coffee night or ride and hopefully we will catch up and meet. If the other half wants to come along he's more than welcome by the way..

Hey Rev004,

Yes rocket are a massive bike. when he road my Busa he didn't love the rocket so much he would get one so that says something hey lol. I am in the hills in Bullsbrook way up the other end, Graham and I do a lot of riding, mainly up our way though, eg, New Norica, Wongan Hills, Cunderdin, York and Toodyay etc. Would love to catch up atone of the meets. We are going to Toodyay bike festival next weekend you going?

Thanks heaps for the welcome everyone. so glad to be here.

Went for the first ride late yesterday afternoon and it was nearly my last. I was on a straight stretch of road and a stupid women in a little red car decides to over take a truck, coming head on I flicked on my high beam and she still kept coming. I didn't want to hit the gravel as I would have ended up a feature on the barb wire fence, I had to slam on the brakes centimetres from the gravel and the stupid women slipped past me and the nose of the truck. Thank go she had a small car otherwise I would have hit gravel and that I would be very unhappy about. My nerves were pretty shattered but I got myself together and kept going. My biggest concern was my tyres as they haven't even had a chance to be run in but thank god they kept me up right. Joys of riding NOT..Frown

Hi Kylie unfortunately I'm working weekends at the moment so getting out to enjoy things like that is a real bummer, I've missed the last couple of years and wouldn't have minded checking it out anyway maybe next year.

However there is a couple of guys from the forum going so your bound to see some more Busas.

I'm also glad that you managed to avoid anything serious happening and stay upright not a nice feeling at all and the main thing is that even though your nerves etc might have been shattered you still kept a cool head in an unpleasant situation.

Please do take it easy Kylie. The Busa gets to very high speeds, very quickly, and hence takes longer to slow down... also, cars will regularly not notice you, as I'm sure you already knew before your little "incident".

When I got my first Busa 6 years ago, my mate Franko told me, "ride to your ability, not the bike's ability". It's kept me upright ever since. The only thing I'd add to that is, "ride to the average car driver's ability" also...

Glad you kept it upright. Quite a few of us have lost mates, partners, etc, so please be extra careful out there... Pi_thumbsup
