Don't you worry about my naked friend Mono , she is not for public viewing. I have an appointment at the hairdresser this arvo so I hope the predicted rain does not ruin my hairdo.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 2:25 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Ipswich, Logan City and Sunnybank Hills.

They are forecast to affect Brisbane CBD, Archerfield, Slacks Creek, Camp Hill, Lake Manchester and Enoggera by 2:55 pm and Strathpine, Aspley, Albany Creek, Boondall, Sandgate and Brighton by 3:25 pm.

Damaging winds, very heavy rainfall, flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.
