Yeah mate, Lot's here prefer the look of 2 can's. I,m not one of them,I've got a 4-2-1 on my gen 1 & recon they look heaps better with one can . You'll get more opinions if you go to the intro section & tell us a bit about yourself & bike, Oh & welcome to the club/forum ,we're slowly building our SA numbers.

I've got the same as Rod. Specifically looked for a secondhand bike with that sort of stuff done already, when I was looking to buy a busa.

I've had a Yosh 4-2-1 for years and across three Busas, they really perform and sound excellent.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
4 into 2 into 1 custom made tuned length ceramic coated from Megacycle in Dandenong in Victoria. It sounds great, gave me 8hp & dropped 9kg.
I don't mind the look of twin or single cans but at the end of the day the 2nd can is superfluous.

Why do they shove the second can on new bike, then? Surely, it cost a fortune to do so. Is it just an easier way of meeting emission requirements or such like?
I've heard of cars switching from two to one reflector or opting against on/off buttons to save production cost. Half an exhaust system could seriously bring down the cost of a new bike.

Everything I've read suggests a dual exhaust setup is for aesthetics, and that a single muffler setup makes a fraction more power.
But I suppose you can't believe everything you read, and a dual setup on a busa looks...right.
tiforce dual 380mm looks so perfect. But...my money is still going to a brocks shortmeg, for the weight saving, clutter reduction and power gains. Dropping weight is just golden, ranks higher than increasing power in my books.
