Hey Guys, im Rob
ive been told about this forum so i thought id check it out
ive currently got a 97 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade but its up for sale and my next bike im hoping for a Hayabusa if i can find one within my price range.
ive got a mate who rides a Busa and hes a mad bastard. so i thought id join him and get one too.
gona a bit nuts with the blade, got sprockets changed 1 down 5 up. 1 wheel everywhere. but im a bit of a power addict, the faster and harder my face gets ripped back the bigger my smile. so here i am, Busa Central.
hope to learn some more about busa's
mods for increasing power, handling, looks etc.
im even one of those mad bastards that would put a turbo on mine in time to come just to experience it.
so feel free to throw me some $$$ Figures for a good second hand Busa + recomended mods to bump up the BHP's

My research pointed me towards a brocks shortmeg or alienhead exhaust system, a decent air filter (not K&N), and an ecu tune with someone reputable.
For the feeling, change the gear like you did on your blade, and swap out the throttle sleeve for a 2009 R6.
BTW I went from a blade to a busa too - I don't regret it.

Hey Rob mate to the Busa club, pull up a chair and check out the for sale thread and see if anyone has a Busa for sale in your price range, PM a member if it may appear their Busa isn't sold yet, you never know mate....
Rob is a good mate of mine and IMHO a Busa would suit him down to the ground, he's a bloody good rider and doesn't mind the odd 12 o'clock

Welcome to the club Rob. As Greeny said, there's plenty of Busa owners here in SA that can give you a second opinion on any Busa's you're looking at.
Do you have a preference for Gen 1 or Gen 2? Would you be prepared to buy a repaired bike, or would it have to be 'never dropped'? As for tips on mods - just trawl through the threads on this forum, or check out the american sites/forums. There's plenty of food for thought on the Busa sites.
Tell us what you've got in mind, and I'm sure plenty on here will tell you what they think.
Good luck....

G'day mate, I know you and your mad mate, He's my mad mate too. We reccied the now can you see us proposed route and changed it. I lead the ride on the day. I was on a Blue TT Triumph. Before that at a bbq, with some of your other mad mates, you had a traily, I had a silver Daytona. I rode with a couple of Busas today from the Amberlight, I was on a black TL 1000S Welcome. I've been to Amberlight every sat and sun, if you get up there, see you there.
