moisture if the clutch basket
#1
Guys i just recived a trick oil cap of VANDRIVER (thanks heaps mate) so i went off like a kid in a candy shop to put my new bling on and soon as i took off the old oil cap i could see the clutch basket had moisture all over it was a touch creamy , my bike lives out side and is up on stands getting some stuff done . so my question is " is this normal " im concerned.the bike gets turned over every few days and is left to run and get up to opperating temp and is given a few good revs and idled down and then shout off .

i would apprecatie members whom can help but please if we can keep this to the topic at hand i will be greatly apprecative to all

thanks guys

This is just a guess, Kev, but I would say there is always a small amount of moisture in an engine case; whatever the current humidity is when you last opened it up, I suppose. Maybe regular running helps it evaporate? I don't know.

Also, we just had damn near two weeks of torrential rains, so that might have something to do with it.
