I have been using it now for quite a few months and I get about an extra 40 - 50 klms a tank!!
Bike seems to run smoother than normal Optimax as I have been using it in my bike since new , now 4 years and no dramas
I like the new stuff and have asked many mechanics about it
Oh well everyone has there own opinion!!

Andy the Ethanol is the new one out !
A certian V8 super car team used it and it melted the fuel cell and lines completely wrecking the fuel system.
Plus many other reasons as others with "Knowledge" have mentioned here, some of those being that Ethanol is Hydroscopic and also prone to creating vapour locks.

I have received no answers to the questions I asked about the 100 fuel so I started using it. I have noticed on a couple of occassions that when I stalled (slow manoeuvring at about a walking pace, I have had to crank the starter for a fair bit longer to get her restarted (cranked for maybe 2 seconds). Then all is fine. Performance is fine, fuel consumption is excellent, tyre wear is still high. . The damned stuff just works. . As there is insufficient writing about it I can only speak from actual use. If in the longer term it does eat my rubber parts I will certainly be advising you all here.

After checking the Shell website regarding this fuel, and checking some of the links, I emailed Suzuki.
Below is my original email and their response.
I have a 2006 model Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. My manual says I can use fuel with an ethanol blend of a maximum of 10 %.
Can I use the new Shell 100 extreme fuel in my Hayabusa. The Shell website lists it as a 5% ethanol mix. Are there any other issues regarding the use of this fuel?

Thank you for your e-Mail.
Suzuki does not recommend the use of ethanol blended fuels in
Motorcycles or ATV's. Basically, the ethanol has an affect of leaning
out the fuel mixture.
This affect may be accomodated for in closed loop EFI systems but
your open type system and carburettor models may not tolerate it which
may lead to poor performance and engine starting problems.
Although the Owner Manual is printed for the world markets, the
specification of models may vary from country to country. Because of
this, we have no certainty that the fuel system components will resist
damage caused by long term exposure to ethanol blended fuel. In
particular ethanol has an affinity to water that can result in corrosion
of fuel system components.
Even under the condition that any model will tolerate ethanol blended
fuels, there may still be concerns experienced in operation. These may
include poor performance, hesitation and poor startability, particularly
when hot. Therefore, as the function of the motorcycle may be even
slightly impacted, in the interests of operator satisfaction in performance
of Suzuki product the use of ethanol blended fuel is not recommended.
