I KNOW HOW TO DO IT!!!!

You take it to a weighbridge and get a certificate. Then you take it to someone who can give you a blue slip and they ring the RTA and get a VIN number for it. They stamp it on and fill out the rego form, then you take all the paperwork to the RTA! It is HEAPS better if you get Jen (1armedbandit) to help, she ROCKS Blacktown RTA.

You do need a receipt from the person you have purchased it from and old rego papers if possible ( not essential )

you will also need to remove the OLD vin number as a new one will be issued -

Then do as above - get it weighed - then a print out of the weight - then head to a blue slip place - tell them the trailer was made before 1988 ( Date to be verified - they will tell you at the blue slip place anyway ) this is because after this time(verify date ) new rules applied to trailers and may make your trailer invalid, and listing it as a HOME MADE trailer also makes it easier.

If you do not have a receipt for the trailer , there is a way around this problem but wont say on open forum -- so if this is the case you do not have the reciept of sale due to loosing it then Pm me
