FAR mirrors WTF?
#1
So I bought some aftermarket "FAR" mirrors to replace the big clunkers - ordered a left and a right matching set. Well so I thought..

I started fitting one and just couldn't get it right - the angle seemed way out so I swapped left to right and tried out the 2 bases (one is angled, the other flat).

Then I sat the 2 side-by-side and they don't have the same stem bend. One stem bends in the same plane as the mirror and the other is 90deg to that - i.e. away from the mirror.

I'm guessing this is a manufacturing fault.. The stem is not adjustable from what I can tell (not willing to break it to find out). Even the online store photo doesn't look right..

Can anyone make sense of this? I'll probably just return them.

Finally got around to sorting this out. The stem does rotate, you just need to really crank it. Wasn't willing to force it at first, but it does go. Pi_thumbsup

Kev, I got them at MCAS

Pics shortly....
Much better...
