storage of a busa
#1
Hi guys,

looking at storing the busa for a while, at least 4-6months maybe longer.

What things should i do to it apart from draining fuel , front and rear brake fluid, coolant, engine oil, remove spark plugs?
Should i add a few drops of oil into the fuel tank to prevent rust?

Cheers
Rob

the fuel will go off but you can help slow it down by using a fuel stablizer wont stop it but will slow it down . the brake fluid just change it when you start riding again along with the oil and filter just incase.. i belive if you leave your fuel tank empty you may get moisture in it causing rust..also lube your chain

The full comprehensive storage procedures are outlined on page 84 of the Gen 1 owners manual and page 8-4 on the Gen 2 owners manual. The storage procedures are identical for both models! The Gen 1 owners manual should be still available,(around $30); Part No. 99011-24F52-01A and for the Gen 2 owners manual Part No. 99011-15H50-01A.
