dose anyone know if the early model busa's like my 99 have timing retardation in the lower gears, like later model bikes do ???. any info would be much appreciated. cheers..

Nah carny,
that's the true beauty of our '99 (real) 'busa's  ............the powers that be realised that us '99 & '00 riders can handle the sheer brute force of the mighty 'busa totally unfettered & unrestrained  ..........as opposed to all the masses of sissy riders ('01 onwards) that need to be restrained, oppressed & limited.........all for the sake of their own health & well-being !!!

I thought they were all restricted in the lower gears and the 99's were unrestricted in the top gear only...? Were's Legend when you want him?

Thanks Bruce. I'm after the gear indicator as well. I need to know what gear I'm in if I'm going to try and keep up your two fiddy down the straight!

Cant see the point for a track bike mate. It's either in the right gear or not the number is irrelavent.
If you have time to read the gear display on the track then your going too slow
