Yes, I remember it well: I picked her up from Nowra and rode all the way back to Sydney. It was great.

Picking up the new Gen II and riding it for the 1st time was the absolute best magic carpet ride possible.
I had to ride 60ks to work for half a day and then rode home from there after everyone drooled over it for a few hours. hehehe.

I still get that feeling every time I open the garage door, and the same bike has been sitting there for over 10 years now.

- reckon a new black one would do the same!! White???? errrr . . . not my cup of tea!Idiot2

I've gone for the 09 Gold/Black...

Being 09, It's the 10 year anniversary, and I think it's a nice link to the original colour, without being called... 'Salmon".....

Well to be truthfull the Gen II is the 10 year anniversary model cause the 99 model came out in Nov 98 except for Australia and a few other places. Same as the 08 model came out in late 07. Normal practice for Suzuki to bring the next year model out late in the year before.

BUT, who cares, the Gen II bikes are awesome!! Especially a newbie.
