Just bought my first Busa

I do have a question for all of you experienced Busa-owners: is it normal for them to run really hot? The temp gauge reads normal (needle is at halfway point) but, geez, the amount of heat that comes out of the lower part of the fairing is ridiculous. I burnt my leg on the ride hand side of the engine!

I've ordered a Muzzy aluminium fan; hopefully that will take care of it?

you could have accidently touched ur leg on the exposed part of the engine just behind the fairing...its a wide bike and if you put ur foot down in the wrong spotwhen you stop ur leg can touch....just a thought btw and nice bike,i have a gen2 but love the shape of the gen1 congrats

Well done on your purchase. Just wandering where you bought it and would it be too personal to ask what the number plate is???

I bought it in Nowra, which is probably why I got it for such a good price. (Not many sportsbike riders there.)

Soooooo....I was out for a ride today, went over a certain bridge in Sydney, just casually going at the speed limit, when a black Porsche shot past me...so I dropped down a gear and left him for dead!

When he finally caught up to me at the traffic lights he leaned out of the window and exclaimed, "Man, that shit's fast!"

"Yep", I said...

Pan??? Have you been winding up 'busa riders?

As for the heat, you'll find it very welcome in winter when you stop at the lights and tuck your hands into the radiator exit ducts to defrost your fingers!
