Group Buy: Billet Annodised Rear Brake Reservoir
#91
Guys
My 2c here.

Firstly suzuka1980 asked me to post up to confirm his legitimacy and I have no probs doing so.

I bought a billet anodised rear brake reservoir off him in December last year.
Here is the link:
http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/...?tid=13983

At the time I thought nothing of it, I emailed the dude and we did the paypal thing.
He mentioned that I probably wouldn't get it for a few weeks due to Christmas mail traffic which was ok by me.

I then received a PM from a member who said that his stated address might not be his "real" address. ie. stated Brissy but real=Singapore.

At that stage I thought "oh-oh" but since it was paypal then there "might" be some protection.
In any case, I actually forgot all about the purchase, as i usually do when I don't get them within 2 weeks.
So it was early January when I received a well wrapped package from Singapore with a well crafted gold rear brake reservoir. Exactly as pictured in the thread.

The construction/machining is quite nice (more on this later) but I didn't fit it to my bike as I have now gone for an all black stealth look on my gixxer.
So, being the dodgy bugger that I am, I gave it is a b'day pressie to one of my mates (with a gold K8 gixxer though).
This dude was wrapped with it and he was very pleased with the construction/milling of the unit. This guy is a contract machinist/fabricator for Herods and Ford so know a littler bit about this stuff. I just thought it looked sexy.

So, yeah, I bought off suzuka1980.
His emails/communication were good and immediate.
He delivered (to me) what was promised.
The product was (to me) of very good quality.

Would I buy off him again?
Yes. Especially if he made BLACK MINI rear brake reservoirs!!!

And thats all I have to say.
I hope this helps some of you guys out.

I'm glad to see that you guys picked up on this guy scamming you on your own.

He is using pictures of my reservoir in Post#29( the gold cup with my rear brake spring and seat)

And yes more people are picking up on he claims to live in a different country on every page, using whatever will benefit him more.

And price? Since I sold here in the past, he just looks at my thread then undercuts me. What were they here $62, On another Busa page that his thread was just removed from, they were $55.

He was a customer of mine on the TL pages, but he asked so many stupid questions, that I banned him as a customer. Now he shows up all over the net in the last 6 months acting like an expert and running group buys.
He is not making any of these parts, it is a Singapore sweatshop operation that he just buys from, then ships to you.

You have to admit it is a good business plan, since people are tighter than two coats of paint, he goes goes from place to place, going lower and lower on the price, since his cost is so low in the Far East.

It's great that you guys totally abandoned my reservoirs and I still Supported your December ride. I had no idea it was over this clown.

Thanks for the input Van, we appreciate your timely entry into this discussion. You have proven yourself to be an up front and honest vendor here.

I have bought a black reservoir and return spring from you, so no, we have not abandoned you. Your kit is top quality and made by yourself.

I asked you to be a sponsor of our Tathra ride and you freely put up a rear brake reservoir so suite any Hayabusa. Thank you so much.

Steventh won your prize.

And thank you for bringing this to the AHC forum's attention. I'm sure the Moderators will take notice of your information.

Thanks again.

Regards.

Yup i too bought the spring for the rearset from Vandriver before too.But in Extreme hayabusa forum.Vandriver i did email you and you said before that it cant fit in my brembo rear brake pump. But he said it could as long as the outlet is the same.Cause i am using stock rear brake hose and the outlet is the same as a stock rear brake pump.I will take a close up picture and send it to you through pm.If it can be fixed will get it from you instead.Since you are defintely more reliable.Even though it may be abit more expensive,i dont want any unnecessary trouble or headaches.
Hey to all,
suzuka as in the pm,i will support you if i know who you are and see the end product. The pictures look nice.Since we both live and in Spore ask me out to discuss further details on the product mass ordering.I will not put my head and reputation on the chopping board whom i dont even know. The senior moderator Kush in SBF needs my assurance and the PMO will be a go.Do take note its not a commercial mass ordering, both are different.

If its good i will support you 100 percent. Not only in SBF in other Spore local biking forums too.I have asked the senior moderator to run a check on you.He told me that in the past, you maybe using a different nick and something went wrong. He will need to go back and do a check to be sure.FYI i want out of the group order.Although its only $50,its my hard earn money and it can last me 3 meals for 5 days.I am not a well off bloke here.If you are an honest and top notch guy,i promise you you will have my 100% support in Spore biking communities. To reach 20 is not hard at all.I just dont want to see others including myself to be cheated.I hate cheaters and liers.

Thank you, another part of his story that does not make sense is, "this is only a hobby" That is ridiculous, he has appeared on a ton of Suzuki forums around the world in the last 6 months. Someone sends me a link everyday about him. That makes it full time, not a hobby.

I barely have time to manage people on 2 TL pages and 2 Busa pages and
I started with TL parts in late 2003.

Van

Feel free to send pics, just saying "Brembo rear master" is too generic, they have been making them for decades and it is much different on a 900SS, than it is on an R1. The outlet and the brake line have nothing to do with it. It is the inlet where the cup plugs in, that is important. Do you have anything to make measurements with. Even if you are using the R1 style, I doubt Brembo/Yamaha used the same size nipple and placed the bolt that holds the cup at the same distance from the nipple.

Thanks, yes I am still making reservoirs. I only have the gold or black angled reservoirs in stock at the moment. I do have the material to make the straight reservoirs in stock. I have a lot of TL parts to start making in the next couple of weeks and that will include straight reservoirs. I do have an invoice for the material, I can take pics of it with me and a current issue magazine, so it is time stamped and I can take video of them being cut, like I have in the past. Can anyone else do the same?

This is going on like a soap opera. Or a soccer match, either way I am holding the whistle and play the referee. Lets put some facts on the ground.

The fact that Suzuka can supply the parts he is offering has been established. With those receiving them having no complaints but praise for the work. Which establishes him as a vendor.

Legitimate questions have been raised over some of his claims of location. I think its pretty much established that it is Singapore whether permanently or temp is his business and his life.

I would hold that Suzuka bare some responsibility for allegations made against him for perhaps not being totally up-front from the onset and the one responsible for opening the pandoras box in this case. Prospective buyers always have the right to question the veracity and claims of any Vendor. Remember Vendors dont have to pay any fee for advertising their wares in Vendors sections as long as it is of interest to the general membership. So a certain amount of accountability to the membership is in order.

Claims of being competition to other Vendors has no bearing as its a Free Market and never a closed shop to anyone. If he is able to under-cut other manufacturers thats his perogative and most accepted in any free market economy of the business world. Claims of using pictures created by others also have no bearing as most pictures unless clearly marked with 'copyright' are all found on and deemed Public Domain. Those that wish to protect their artwork or pictures are advised to include a watermark across their work. Though however some buyers may prefer to spend a few dollars more if they deem another to have more integrity in their business practice, this is common. So lowest price doesnt always win out.

So where do we go from here? First, this thread will not be deleted and is part of the record of this site. It may be locked down one day at the discretion of the admins. Suzuka as a Vendor has the right if he so wishes to open up another thread whether with same name No.2 or any other title outlining his proposed group buy and ask that it remain on topic, where I would suggest he simply outline prospective buyers and available spots for prospective purchasers. Posts not on topic will be deleted by admins. You want to 'vent' you may do so within reason on this thread. Whether Suzuka wishes to reply or not is his perogative, though I would suggest not to.

As always in any purchase its "Buyer Beware" and falls under the responsibility and choice by the buyer, not anyone else. I for one believe Suzuka can supply the product he proposes and am inclined to agree it falls under the manufacturer category then the hobbyist for as a hobbyist he would have told everyone to go and get stuffed by now as who needs this angst as a hobbyist. Nevertheless should you wish to order his product I cant see why not to, unless you believe he will not supply you and just keep your monies, which I believe has been dis-proven by testimony of buyers present. So Suzuka I suggest you open a second thread pertaining to the topic and you have the right to request it remain on topic and posts not on topic to be deleted.

I in all that I wrote have intended to remain impartial without any bias and or interest. I would hope the slanging match will come to an end......you've said your piece now time to move on. Those that are interested in ordering any of his products will be able to register themselves when he opens the new thread. And those wishing to order same product from another Vendor may do so in his thread. In the end its always buyers choice.

That is a nice politically correct response, but how am I supposed to copyright a photograph, when he buys my part, photographs it and uses it like it was something that he made?

There is right and wrong and you could just take down #29 and make it right.

On the other hand, leaving #29 there exposes him as a cheat and a liar, he is representing it as his work, cheating, stealing your intellectual work and putting it up as his, lying. Something members here will not forget.

Ok Vandriver I deleted that post based on what you say even though I believe them to be public domain but also because they dont have the markings as all his other units. But having said that you aknowledge that he bought the unit from you making it his property to do with as he so wishes. However an argument for mis-representation can be made and therefore cede to your request to remove them. I trust this now rights a wrong as you mentioned.

BTW, Vandriver I checked your thread which seems out-dated, perhaps you can update your thread as to what you can offer the membership.

Volvi,

Firstly i mean no disrespect to you, Admins or the club. But i need to say a few things. I understand your point of view in relation to this seller and 'opening his own Pandora's box'. But allowing him to continue to sell this way in this community is only rewarding him for his deceitful conduct.

To be honest if you look at the word Fraud, you will find the following definitions below. Highlighted obtains to his actions.

fraud [fr??d] (reference: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fraud )
n

1. deliberate deception, trickery, or cheating intended to gain an advantage
2. an act or instance of such deception
3. something false or spurious his explanation was a fraud
4. Informal a person who acts in a false or deceitful way

Reference: http://www.google.com.au/search?q=define...=firefox-a

# intentional deception resulting in injury to another person
# imposter: a person who makes deceitful pretenses
# something intended to deceive; deliberate trickery intended to gain an advantage

IMO, This kind of characteristic trait in a seller is unwelcome and not fit to be privileged to sell to this fine community of busa owners. Somewhere the line has to be drawn, i just hope it's not to low to allow this to happen on here.

I'm a bit suprised anyone from this club would even think of doing business you when we have a vendor who uses pictures of his own work and doesn't tell lies about where is is or where he comes from, and he supports the club with His work as prizes.

Do you have pictures of your own work or are you still using the intelectual work belonging to another vendor on this site?

I reckon you have pretty big balls coming back here after the way you behaved when asked simple questions by members from this club last time you were here.
