Group Buy: Billet Annodised Rear Brake Reservoir
#61
I purchased a stator cover from Suzuka, the cover turned up on time well packaged and exactly as promised. It arrived from Singapore.

I have not fitted the cover yet so cannot comment on that however it appears to be very well made and came complete with hardware and spacers.

In my one transaction with this vendor I have had no problems at all, he has pushed me a bit to get the cover installed and post up pics but that is understandable from a new vendor trying to get his product out there I suppose.

The uncertainty over his home is concerning especially with him stating where he is located in his bio and a different location given in this thread.

Would buy from him again?, based on my first order - yes I would.

thanks for that feedback, Bruce Pi_thumbsup

well guys....there's one so far, are there any more?

As Bruce pointed out, it still doesn't explain his location confusionWtf......but it does give him some credibility, does it not??? ConfusedUndecided

Thanks Bruce. You could have posted where I sent out the parts from. I've no worries about that.

Anyway, as I have also told the moderators. I lived in Brisbane, studied at University of Adelaide, now living and working in Singapore.

Well, if you wish to know every detail about where I've been and worked in...it's a long list.

My job requires a lot of travelling. I will NEVER give up my regular job. This is just a hobby.

If I am really a crook, my paypal account would have been shut down years ago. However, till now, there isn't a single complain on it.

Drop me email if you wish for me to send you an email instead.

I truely appreciate the moderator's effort in being just and fair. It's really rare for moderators being so understanding.

Most would usually shut down the post instead...

Anyway, this is a Group Buy post. If you are in doubt, please please do not add your name to the list. No one is forcing you to purchase from me.

The reason I choose only to deal via paypal and nothing else is for the exact same reasons. Both buyers and sellers get protection.

I'm sure you understand the relevence of you saying that the very first time Dave asked you the question bloke. It certainly would have avoided you looking shady and dishonest.

My next question has to be "How long till you get the anodised rear brake reservoirs done?" If it's going to be within the next few weeks put me back on the list, if not, leave me off it.

My dear old Mum used to say that "Honesty is the best policy" I reckon those words are pretty good.

The thing will start when the list hits the minimum quantity. There wer enough orders initially, until my post at suzuki-hayabusa was taken off abruptly.

The reason for it being taken off is exactly the same as what we are seeing right here, right now!! Not all forum moderators are as acccomodating and understanding as what we have here.

Flaming will get you nowhere. Hurrying will get you nowhere. Threats are a complete no no either.

It is more beneficial if you can encourage and speak well, which would in turn encourage more people to participate in the Group Buy.

I realised too that there are other similar product "merchants" out there who are fanning the flames.

What I am doing is a hobby. Flaming me will not encourage sales of your similar items. Ending this Group Buy will not result in your sales going up either.

Innovation, creativity, marketing and distribution channels is what you should be working at, instead of destruction. Similarly for the world economy now. Unless we pick ourselves up, and contribute to society by getting a job instead of collecting welfare, the governments are gonna bleed...

suzuka1980......

thanks for [eventually] clearing a few things up for all of us here that are interested in this thread.Clap
If the communication lines were fully open in the first place.....i doubt it would have got as messy as it has!?!Confused
Now that things are a little clearer (thanks to two highly trusted & respected members in Bruce & BK as well on thatPi_thumbsup), I hope we might still be able to proceed with this group buy?!?
.....if you are indeed as genuine as you now appear to be, suzuka1980, then my personal sincerest apologies to you for showing any doubt to the contrary. Pi_thumbsupCoolsmiley

So......who's up for some sexyhot-lookin' brake reservoirs then ???

You have a lot of words to say now, after you were forced to come clean.

You seem to be forgetting that it was your silence that lead us here so leave your venom and self righteous indignation at home. Have a look at some of the tripe you have written in your last post. Pontification wont get you many sales here.

Leave me off thank you.

I agree Max.

I'm guessing most people would learn from previous episodes, and not make the same mistake again?

Which merchants are fanning the flames and who else sells these that has replied to the thread ???

Suzuka i need some clarification here.I did pm you regarding the differences in shipping either to USA or Spore. You said its the same. Now since you said you work and live in Spore.May i know i can collect from you locally instead of paying any shipping at all?Just 1 click on my name says it all in my profile.

I know of people as long as you have the dimesions, sizes and drawings you can copy and ask them to make it locally in Spore.Material wise and etc is not hard to find at all.Since now we both live in Spore call me out for coffee, will need to see end product in order to give you support.I have done business with many here in the forum. If its good i can also recommend to the local busa and bikers community.Trust me Singapore bikers community is a small world.

[/b]I'm not in the biking community in Singapore. I am in the Honda Integra community in Singapore though. BTW, it isn't cheap doing it in Singapore.

Why not do us all a favour? Can you help find someone who is willing to do it for you, and share with us the price you managed to obtain. From your posts, it seem you might have some good network and connections.

I'm sure all of us want cheap prices with good quality.

Like I said, I'm not out to make profits. If you can find someone who is doing it cheaply, please do share with us, and co-ordinate a Group Buy.

Collecting it locally is not a problem. i replied you in your PM previously. In case I am not in town, you can collect it from a friend of mine, or a colleague instead. I'm cutting down my administrative time meeting up everybody who wants to buy. Imagine what would happen if everybody wants to meet. Postage fees are a rough estimate too.

Seriously doubt the price I charge can cover all costs actually. Here is what is involved.

1. Purchase aluminium
2. Cutting aluminium to shape
3. Anodizing reservoirs
4. Purchase bolt, spring washer, and washer
5. Purchase rubber cap
6. Package into box
7. Purchase bubble pack envelopes
8. Contact everybody to seek payment
9. Track payments and confirm addresses
8. Bring to Post Office to send them out

Hope you all can appreciate and understand what involves in doing a Group Buy. It does not include people who back out of the purchase after I have made the items, and refuse to pay. What do I do? Ans: Nothing.

A rough estimate for postage is around $10 based on previous experiences. That means it costs just a mere $50 for the reservoir.

Am I being nuts going through all the efforts, and not get recognised? YES!!!
Quote:Which merchants are fanning the flames and who else sells these that has replied to the thread ???

It's not hard to see who is out to destroy, and who is helpful.

If you have subscribed to other forums, look at how they blast my quality, colour, price, etc.

There are similar products out there, which go for about double the price, excluding shipping fees.

Once again, please be appreciative that things are cheap, and the effort I have to go through.

If you are unhappy with my price, colour, answers, etc., simply do not add yourself to the list.

What's the point in complaining or blasting the post or Group Buy.... Undecided

This thread is getting a bit off topic. If you want in on the group buy, then continue. If you don't want to purchase these items, then don't. I can't vouch for this guy one way or the other, but I have seen the item he sold Bruce and it is lovely. He hasn't fitted it yet, but it appears to be exactly what he ordered at the right price.

I have his personal email address so I can contact him if I have to, and I have to think that if he was shonky, wouldn't he have pissed off at the first sign of trouble rather than answering? Just a thought.
